Summary
Daeron was distraught to find himself having abandoned Valarr to his grief. How did he not notice that he offered Valarr no comfort, no condolences? Baelor was unfortunately slayed entire seven days prior, and for that time Daeron stayed in his rooms and taken to wine and his blighted, harrowed dreams, all the while ignoring the fact that his darling, darling cousin had no one else to comfort him at all.
Guilt-ridden and ashamed so deeply it was hard to breathe, Daeron set out to Valarr’s chambers to comfort him now. Perhaps too little, perhaps too late, but he wanted to be there for him.

He had to deal with his feelings, only he didn’t know if his greatest desire was to kill Valarr with his bare hands, or to push his face into a soft pillow and hear his cousin whisper his name in a fit of passion like the kind only dragons were meant to share.

Summary
To travel all the way east to the ruins of Old Valyria, Aerion and Valarr joined mercenary groups that would carry them onwards. They sliced through rival sellswords, rioting slaves, Dothraki barbarians and various other filth, all to build their skills and be worthy of the treasures that lied inside the smoking ruins of their ancestral home.
To preserve their status as brutal warriors, they decided to refrain from being lovers whilst their sellsword career continued. Aerion did not wish for Valarr to lay with anyone else while they weren't doing so together, and for that purpose decided to procure a certain buffer who could keep Valarr satisfied enough that he wouldn't search for other lovers elsewhere. He hadn't even considered that his cousin could grow frond of someone so meek and unlike himself, Aerion. Yet, he did. Aerion had to fix it.
