Work Text:
Ilya and Shane were preparing for a trip to Greece. Shane had a packing list on which he checked each item he put into his suitcase. Ilya was running around the house grabbing random things and threw them into his suitcase. When Shane had checked the last item off his list, he double checked each item and then closed his suitcase.
“I’m ready. How far have you gotten?”
“I’m almost ready!” Ilya scream from the laundry room.
Ilya came back into the bathroom with one sock and a shirt in his hands. He dropped them into his suitcase without folding them.
“Now I’m ready.”
“Are you sure?” Shane asked skeptically.
“Yes. You can ask me questions.”
“Do you have some pants?”
“Swimming trunks and the one I’m wearing.”
Shane looked down to Ilya’s basketball shorts.
“That’s not enough. Please add one jeans.”
“Okay. But only because you want me to. I won’t need it.”
“Sure. Do you have shirts?”
“Yes.”
“Socks.”
“Yes.”
“Underwear.”
“Ah no. I forgot underwear. Wait a second. I get it quickly.”
Ilya turned to the dresser, pulled out four or five boxers and threw them on top of the shirt in his suitcase.
“Okay. Go on.”
“Toothbrush?”
“Yes.”
“Your shampoo?”
“Yes.”
“Charging cable?”
“Yes.”
“Okay. I think that’s the basics.”
“See. I packed everything.”
“Yeah okay. But don’t complain to me when all your clothes are wrinkled.”
“I would never!”
“We will see.”
Ilya closed his suitcase and carried his own and Shane’s suitcase to the door. Shane checked his list again and checked every window and light. At the door Shane asked again.
“Do you have everything you need?”
“Yes Lyubimyy. Don’t worry so much.”
“You know I always worry.”
“Yes. I know,” Ilya smirked and kissed Shane’s cheek.
Together they loaded everything into the car. When they both sat, Shane started the car.
“Ah wait! I forgot my sunglasses!”
Ilya jumped out of the car and ran back to the house. Shane pulled his window down.
“Do you have your passport and your wallet.”
“Fuck! No! Just a minute then I have everything.”
Ilya disappeared into the house and Shane sat in the car and sighed. A few minutes later Ilya stepped back out.
“Okay! Now I really have everything!”
“Then let’s go!”
Ilya climbed back into the car and Shane drove off. After the first few kilometers Ilya took Shane’s hand.
“You know. The only thing I really need for this vacation is you. The rest is just extra.”
Shane gulped.
“Don’t be so romantic now. Next time I will check your suitcase and make you your own list.”
“See. The only thing I need is you,” Ilya smiled.
“Asshole.”
“You love me,” Ilya said and kissed Shane’s hand.
“Yes, I really do.”
“I love you, too.”
