    Jason’s words didn’t bite as he spoke them into the empty space between them and Arkham Island. Maybe he, too, was tired of fighting with Bruce over this. “You find the Joker, you deal with him your way. If I find him—” with a single step, Jason fully turned his back to Batman “—I’ll deal with him mine.” He ducked beneath a pipe and stepped off the ledge. For but a brief moment, he plummeted toward the concrete, and he thought he caught Batman’s quiet words in his fall.

    “That’s what I’m afraid of.”
