Summary
A star has fallen from the sky. Different factions from the north to the south begin to mobilize, intent on finding the impact zone and claiming what remains of the alien rock.
Months later, Grace wakes up without a memory of who he is, where he came from, or why he's suddenly in a place where no one speaks his language. He finds himself tended by Simon, a warrior in a band of Wilders moving East to the star's crash site. The road is long, the nights are cold, but somewhere in all the snow, they find a connection that may just save them in the end - as well as a lot of answers Grace needs to remember if he ever wants to get home.
