Squid’s mom was out of the house, probably drinking with her ‘friends’ or at the bar. That meant Squid could have the whole house to himself, like he always does.
It was much more boring being alone then it was before, so Squid invited his bestest friends, Magnet! Squid pulled out his phone and started texting him.

Exactly ten minutes later, Magnet climbed up from Squid’s window.
”I’m here! Ouchie!” Magnet fell face first onto the carpet floor.
Squid winced for Magnet and sighed. “You couldn’t knock on the front door?”
Magnet shrugged and jumped onto the soft beanbag. “This is cooler..”
”I’ll take your word for it..”
The brunette took his phone from the desk next to him and showed his friend a video. “Look.”
Magnet tilted his head in curiosity and watched the clip. It was someone wearing a bowl on their head, spraying a hot pink dye on the small gap.
”what..what is this?” Magnet squinted heavily as Squid held the phone closer to his face.
“Some video I saw on TikTok, it’s a trend or something..”
The Hispanic boy pause, then giggled hysterically, rolling on the floor. “You..S-Seriously wanna do that! HAHAAH—“
The other one huffed sharply, putting his phone away. “So? I just wanna see how it would look.
Magnet stood back up, snickering slightly. “Why do you want your hair to be half pink?”
Squid rolled his eyes. “Not pink you idiot, I want to dye my hair a little blonde..plus you can’t be hating when you have a buzz cut.”
”Well the ladies dig it..” Magnet crossed his arms and pouted, his bottom lip sticking out.
Squid chuckled and pulled out a bottle of blonde hair dye. “Atleast help me do it man.”
“whatever you say dude. If you regret this later we’re showing this to your little boyfriend~” The other boy teased.
Squid blushed furiously and pushed his friend. “We are not..now shut up and get a bowl!”
”whatever you say Al!

Squid was sat on a stool, Magnet trying not to laugh as he placed the bowl ontop of his friend’s head.
”it’s not that funny..”
Magnet dipped the wet brush into the blonde dye. “You better hope this turns out well..”
Stroke after stroke. Magnet slowly dyed the front of Squid’s brunette hair a faded blonde colour.
”Hm, it looks surprisingly good so far..” Squid instantly got a boost of confidence and smirked proudly.
”told you Mags.”
Magnet finished the dyeing process and waited a few hours before helping Squid washing it. He dried the hair perfectly, leaving no wet marks. Magnet stood infront of the finished product, opening his eyes and…
”OH MY— let’s put that back on..!” Magnet faked grinned and carefully adjusted the metal bowl.
”what? Tsh..you’re overreacting..it can’t be THAT bad.” Squid shooed Magnet’s hand away and removed the bowl, looking in the mirror.

A high pitched shriek came from the bathroom as Squid continued to stare into the mirror. His hair was unevenly in a brown-blonde mess.
”okay okay! It’s fine..you’ll just have to go full blonde!” His friend picked up the brush again.”
”FULL BLONDE? NONONO MAGNET NO—“

Squid hesitantly looked in the mirror again. His head instantly dropped. “Magnet..” He whispered.
Magnet squeezed his lips together, looking away. Squid stood up and smashed the mini mirror onto the wooden floor.
”MY MOM’S GONNA KILL ME!”
”well she was going to before we fully dyed your hair…”
Squid shot his stupid friend a glare and let out an angry sigh.
”Let’s go show Caveman now since you regret it~! Magnet carried Squid in his arms excitedly.
”w-WHAT! N-NO! He can’t s-see me L-LIKE THIS! MAGNET!”
His pleas were useless. His best friend was already walking him to his beloved boyfriend’s house.
“I think Caveman will find you even more hot! Don’t worry about it dude..” Magnet laughed and opened the front door.
“I’m gonna kill you. And give my keys back!” Squid snatched his silver keys, a Kirby keychain attached to it.

A few seconds later, Stanley opened the door. His eyes widened as he took a moment to look at the duo.
“Oh..Alan, José..hello” Stanley fully opened the door and smiled warmly.
”this is stupid! Let me go!” Squid whined loudly, trying to escape Magnet’s strong grip.
”hello Cavemannn! Special delivery..”
Stanley carefully accepted Squid in his arms and put him down gently.
”wow..you dyed you hair?” Squid angrily gripped Stanley’s hand
”what does it LOOK like you genius.”
“Alright! You lovebirds smooch or something im hungry..” The other boy went to go raid Stanley’s kitchen.
After Magnet left, an awkward silence enveloped the room. Stanley and Squid had only been together for a few months and they’re still being shy.
“what? Your just gonna stare at me say something!” Squid snapped at him.
Stanley flinched and pulled his boyfriend in for a pity cuddle. “Sorry sorry..I like your hair by the way..!”
“Oh you don’t have to lie..” The smaller boy grumbled in annoyance, nuzzling into his Stanley.
”well..blonde suits you..yknow?”
Squid pulled back and ripped a chunk of his hair out in anger. “This is stupid!”
Stanley approached Squid closer and locked hands with him. “You don’t look stupid babe..”
The blonde ruffly took his hands away. “Man don’t call me that! You’re so weird..”
Stanley felt hurt and stood back slightly. “I’m sorry, I was just trying to reassure you.
”I don’t need reassurance. Now leave me alone!”

Stanley leaned into his boyfriend’s face and gave him a sweet and gentle kiss on the lips.
”m-mm..” Squid closed his eyes and cupped Stanley’s face.
Stanley pulled back and gave Squid a cheek and a forehead smooch.
”okay okay stop!” Squid flushed red and whined as his lover hugged him again.
“I love you.”
“I hate you.”
The curly haired boy frowned. “But..”
The brown eyed boy smiled smugly. “You’re so sensitive..I love you too, I guess.”

The two boys jumped and turned towards Magnet, holding a bag of lays.
”UGH! JOSÉ! OUT!” Squid threw whatever he could at his best friend who giggled and ran off. “Ugh..he’s so stupid.”
“Not as stupid as you blondie.” Stanley mumbled softly.
”go back to being shy..this sassy you is annoying me.”
“Just kiss me before Magnet comes again..”
And Squid obliged. They shared an even longer and lovingly kiss.
”GROUP HUG!” Magnet ran up to them.
”JOSÉ!”
