   Summary

   The collar around Simon’s neck was tight, tight enough that he could feel his own pulse throbbing into his head. He couldn’t breathe deeply without feeling the prongs of the shock collar digging into his skin, so he forced shallow breaths. Not that he could really draw a breath anyway, not with the bruises littering his chest and back.

   But the restraints weren’t the worst part. The true torture was seeing Grace face down on the floor in front of him, while another COI guard stood above him.
