Leafy laid down on the ground in her tent, tracing circles in the dirt.
She was bored, but more than that she was lonely.
Leafy missed Firey. Her partner, her best friend, her everything. He was the only thing she had, and now he’s gone who knows where. They were having so much fun together. Their little garden was mostly ruined, but there were probably a few good Yoyleberries or Yellow Tomatoes. They had made that garden all by themselves, so they could actually hug each other.
Yellow tomatoes…
Leafy remembered back in BFDIA when she begged Pin for a yellow tomato. That day was fun. Pin might have been a bit crazy (so was leafy to be fair) and kinda mean to Leafy, it was nice to spend time with Pin at all.
She missed Pin too. And the more she thought about her the more she missed her. Back in BFDI when they were friends, Leafy developed a crush on her almost instantly. She had ended up confessing, and Pin ended up accepting, but they were young back then. Leafy knew their relationship was just a silly thing between two kids, but she missed it.
She missed hugging Pin, holding her hand, kissing her cheek, talking with her. Those were things they did together back in BFDI. Sometimes it felt like Leafy was the only one who wanted to be in that relationship. Pin assured her she wasn't, but it still felt like it.
Then she stole Dream Island, and it was like nothing had ever happened between them. Pin was furious, just like everyone else, she chased her just like everyone else. When Leafy looked at her while running, she didn't seem sad at all.
Leafy thinks about that all the time. She tried to convince herself that she’s over Pin, what they had was just a stupid thing when they were kids, it didn't actually matter. It did to Leafy though. Pin mattered to Leafy. And Pin probably never thought about her. Pin has her cool new boyfriend Coiny, why would she want an island stealer like Leafy? Just because Leafy thought about her every day and missed her every day didn’t mean she felt the same.
Besides, when are they ever gonna see each other again?
Leafy feels something wet on her face. She sits up and realizes she started crying. She laughs, crying over someone who doesn't even like you? She really is stupid.
She should've been missing Firey. She shouldn't think about Pin, Pin was nothing to her anymore, no matter how much she wanted her. Fiery was something. Fiery was her partner, Fiery was someone who stuck with Leafy, not like Pin.
All Pin needed was one excuse to drop Leafy forever, and she took it. She probably never cared about Leafy.
Leafy sniffs and wipes her face.
She really needs a hug right now.
