Summary
So in this au Steve is Finney blake and Robin Buckley is Gwen. So basically everything happened like it did in the movie but Vance and Bruce survives as well. After the events happened Finney and Gwen were separated and Finney was adopted by the Harrington's he changed his name to Steve because his adoptive parents didn't like his name so they forced him to change it. He never told anyone he was adopted nor his real name. Gwen went to the Buckley's and she changed her name to Robin because she thought it was cooler. Oh and by the way Steve's adoptive parents are also abusive but not as bad as his real dad so he doesn't tell anyone because he thinks it's the best he's gonna get. He and Gwen would write letters to one another as much as possible until the Harrington's forced Steve to cut contact with her completely. Steve like in tbp 2 got into fights a lot in highschool and would make friends with the wrong people like in Stranger things season 1. Steve and Robin ended up reuniting at scoops Ahoy. They didn't tell anyone they were siblings because they didn't want the news to travel back to the Harrington's for obvious reasons.
