Summary
In 2009, due to a critical population crisis, the Ministry of Magic passes a Marriage Act, decreeing that all wix between the ages of 19 and 41 must marry or forfeit their wand and face exile to the Muggle world. Those who cannot secure a match before May 1st are entered into a matching pool and given 2 months to wed.
Despite her best efforts, Hermione can't find a match and shows up on the day of her wedding, assigned to wed Draco Malfoy. He's been a prisoner in Azkaban for the past 10 years, and now that he's getting married, his sentence will be commuted to house arrest, meaning that they are both required to live at Malfoy Manor for the next 5 years. They have 6 months to consummate and are expected to get pregnant within the year.
At first, Hermione is resigned to a life without love. But as she starts to get to know her husband, she finds that he's changed, and in some ways, they're more compatible than she's dreamed possible.
But why is she waking up with gaps in her memory? And why is she so sore between her legs? As time passes, she has no choice but to confront the truth: that maybe she's married to a monster, and there's no way out.
