Maggie, strong willed and refusing to become a hero, was hesitant to trust others, especially the boy who seemed to have a knack for getting under her skin. Together Maggie and Peter recruit a diverse team of heroes, each with their own unique set of skills and powers. As they face off against their many foes, their differences faded away, leaving a team who have built a bond that is unbreakable.
But fighting crime is only part of their story. Along the way the teens will learn more about themselves than they ever thought possible, making friends and navigating the hardest years of their life, high school. From strangers to friends will they make it work as a team? Or will they lose and prove that they are far too young for this?

The sterile smell of antiseptic lingers in the air with the soft hum of medical equipment filling the quiet space. Outside the window the city of Hells Kitchen was lit up, never asleep even in the darkest hours of the night.
Matt Murdock sat in the stiff chair beside the window, dress shirt sleeves rolled up to his elbows, suit jacket thrown haphazardly onto the back of his chair when he rushed in straight from the office. His signature red glasses sat on his nose, hiding his blank eyes and the tired circles around them.
Emotions swirled throughout him as he heard the thrumming heartbeat of his wife, strong and clear. Excitement was the most prominent emotion, however deep within him was a sense of something new to the man.
The man without fear was scared. Scratch that, he was terrified.
His whole world was changing around him and though he had the support of his wife and friend, he had no clue how to be a good father.
The sound of his wife's heartbeat faded, a smaller yet still strong heartbeat took its place pounding in his ears.
In his arms he cradled the small child, wrapped up in a soft pink blanket. The light that would pull him from the darkness time and time again.
"Maggie Murdock" he spoke in a whisper. She practically weighed nothing in his arms, but her mere presence in this world weighed heavily on his heart. Oh, how he wished his father was here to meet his daughter, to help guide him through the ups and downs of raising a kid. But somehow he knew that his dad was with him even if he couldn't physically be here.
"I promise, Maggie, I'll always be here for you. I'll do anything to protect you and I'll love you with all that I have. I'm not going anywhere." He promised the newborn in his arms, feeling his eyes glossing over with bubbling emotion.
The soft blanket shifted in his grasp, the soft snores stilling momentarily. The little girl was stirring awake blinking up at the man she would come to know as her father and her hero.
"Welcome to the world, Maggie Murdock" he cuddled her close to his chest, allowing the girl to fall back asleep to the steady and constant beat of his own heart.
