The tears wet Chris’s skin as Felix cried against his shoulder. Having Felix so close made his heart pound. The soft, damp skin against his own made a rush of pleasure go through his body, and at the same time, it felt completely wrong—like he was stealing something for himself that he didn’t have the right to... but if he didn’t hold Felix, he’d break, too.
Sweden, the summer of 1979
Chris has secretly been in love with Felix for years. When Felix’s long-time girlfriend breaks up with him, Felix is devastated and seeks comfort in Chris. He starts sleeping over, wanting to be held, and Chris complies, despite finding it hard - especially since his body has its own will and instantly exposes his desire. When Felix suggests that they get even closer physically, Chris has to decide if he can take that without being sure of getting what he really wants - Felix’s heart.
