Since Itachi walked out of a hospital room and said the most irreversible thing he's ever said to a room full of clan elders, the village has formed opinions, the elders have formed leverage, and Hinata Hyuga has ordered him barley tea because she knew what he would want before he knew he wanted it.
What follows is a story navigating real obstacles: political interference from both clans, an Akatsuki threat that doesn't wait for convenient timing, and the problem of being two very private people whose relationship has become the village's favorite subject.
The bond forced the attention. The love was always a choice. This is the part where they choose it — in full view of everyone, in all the complicated and occasionally undignified ways that real things get built.
