    A dark lord with sparkling blue eyes stared at her from her dreams. He called to her from across time and space. He danced and sang with her. He loved her, as she did him.

    They made a promise to each other:

    She knew who he was: he was her Symeon Star-Eyes.

    "I am yours and you are mine."

    He had first called to her when she was a young girl.

    "I am yours and you are mine."

    He found her again, he sang his siren song to her, when she was a woman grown.

    "I am yours and you are mine."

    He sang to her when she was in dire need of her sapphire-eyed hero.

    "I am yours and you are mine."

    It was a promise given when there were no wars, no death, no sorrow. A promise given in Summer. But would it be kept, now that Winter had come?
