Pomni loved Ikea. She remembered when she went for the first time, back when she had been human. She'd gone there just to get a new table, but left with 7 pre-bought birthday gifts for her family, a push shark, and a belly full of the best meatballs she had ever eaten.
So, obviously she has put a request in the suggestion box for an Ikea adventure.
Now everyone was walking around a digital furniture store. Jax and Zooble were in one of the boxes where they display the furniture, arguing like siblings fighting over the last pizza roll, Zooble was at the food court, despite not having a mouth, Gangle was asking an employee where the coloured pencils were and Kinger was probably already lost. That only left Pomni and Ragatha, walking around the shop, not really knowing what to look for.
"So, uh, what exactly do we do here? I mean, it's not like we need any chairs or a sofa or anything like that." Ragatha asked. She lived pretty far from the nearest Ikea and had never been to one before, and she didn't see why a furniture store was so intriguing to some.
"Ikea's so much more than just couches and shelves," Pomni replied, with a little too much enthusiasm for someone talking about a shopping trip. "Ikea has almost everything! There's candles, toys, bookcases, oh, and the plushies! I had a shark one before I entered the circus, it was so soft! I loved that thing to death, I guess I've always been a fan of plushies." She said, looking at Ragatha.
A slight red tint spread across Ragatha's cheeks. Her girlfriend was always complimenting her like that. It was almost nice change of pace from back when she lived with her mother.
"Well, what're supposed do be looking for?" Ragatha asked. "It's not like we can get any new furniture for our rooms."
"That's the fun part, you don't really have to look for anything specific, you kind of just walk around." Pomni said.
So that's what they did. With Pomni leading the way, they walked laps around the building, occasionally stopping to look at a desk or toilet seat. They hasn't actually bought anything yet, and Ragatha wasn't particularly interested is buying anything. Pomni, however, saw a plush alien and just couldn't resist.
"Oh my gosh look at him! Isn't he cute? He's so cute! We HAVE to get him!" Pomni said, a huge grin spreading across her face. She picked it up, feeling how soft it was. despite being in a digital world, Caine had still been trying hard to make his adventures as realistic as possible.
Ragatha smiled softly. She loved seeing her happy.
"Of course we can get him!" Ragatha said, reaching a hand across to brush her fingers against the furry green fabric.
"Yes! Thanks Buttons!"
"You're welcome, Sweetie.
