Summary
A hundred years ago, humanity was constantly at war with the Titans, abnormally large humanoid creatures whose sole source of nourishment was human flesh. However, in the midst of research primarily aimed at eradicating the Titan race, a doctor discovered a way to reverse their predatory instincts, allowing them not only to regain their consciousness, but also to learn how to coexist with humans.
Since then, humanity and the Titans have come to share the same world. But coexistence does not mean living in perfect harmony. Even after nearly a century of progress, the relationship between the two species remains fragile.
Eren Yeager grew up in this world. To him, Titans were never merely creatures from the horror stories adults told. Some were even a part of his everyday life. Still, Eren could never completely ignore what he heard on the news about them.
Until he returns home with Mikasa and finds his mother murdered and his father missing...
As the investigation unfolds, Eren begins to experience unexplained symptoms. He is soon transferred to a specialized facility, where he must remain under observation, away from Mikasa and Armin, the only people he has by his side during this time.
