   Red lightwaves, on the other hand, never reach the deep ocean. Most deep sea organisms don’t even have photoreceptors to see that color. It’s practically invisible to them. If their specimen is truly from the deep, it will likely be unaffected by red lights.

   They come on with a flick of Grace’s finger – two wide beams turning the water blood red. Something stirs in the back of the tank. A long, lithe shape.
