   Summary

   The spell was supposed to make Peter cease to exist.

   Instead, it left him abandoned in Gotham.

   Beth was never looking for a child of her own, but Crime Alley was full of the lost. She had made it her life's goal to protect them, provide the nurture and care in Gotham had left barren of it. Even if it meant becoming something the city whispered about in the dark.

   Peter doesn't want to hurt anyone else just by existing.

   Beth is used to fighting her battles alone.

   And Red Hood is the one who won't abandon them.
