“Please. We can help you. Just… just leave Gotham alone. Stop this.”
Jason turns to look at his older brother, and takes in his posture. Still pinned to the ground, most likely by a similar invisible weight like Jason is, but bravely looking up and staring down the sorcerer. A thin trail of blood runs from his mouth, and his shoulders are hunched in defeat.
He can’t remember the last time he saw Dick like this.
“Oh aren’t you just a sweet little thing! So eager to protect your city. You’re lucky I’m feeling generous today. I might be swayed to leave your citizens alone… for a price.”
“Stop toying with us! What the fuck do you want!”
Jason spits out, barely stopping himself from outright insulting the sorcerer. Even Jason knows this is not the time to piss off someone so powerful. The sorcerer rolls her eyes.
“Oh you are no fun. Fine, fine. What I want is quite simple. I just need a volunteer.”
OR
The boys go up against a dangerous sorcerer, and find themselves close to defeat. In a last ditch effort to protect Gotham, they try to bargain with her. But when she asks for a volunteer, none of them know quite what to expect
