You’re lucky I’m busy tonight, or else I gladly teach you a lesson and leave your mangled body as a warning for Batman to find. So listen up and listen good. Get out of my fucking sight, and if I ever find you here again, it’s on sight. Got it?”
Tim nods, but remains silent.
“I said got it?”
Red Hood presses the gun more firmly against his head.
“Got it.”
“Attabird. Now scram.”
He gestures with his gun, and Tim, keeping his hands up, slowly walks away to the other side of the rooftop, before grabbing his grappling gun, and disappearing into the night, feeling Red Hood’s eyes follow him the entire way.
But there was something about that interaction that stuck in Tim’s mind as a bit strange.

Tim loved it when his brother would return from Bludhaven to visit.
Tim took a liking to Dick very quickly, and Dick took Tim under his wing, slowly helping him become more comfortable with the rest of the family and making him feel more welcomed. Dick just had a natural way with children, and Tim found comfort and safety in his company.
But, unfortunately, Dick was so busy. Whilst Tim understood and didn’t hold it against him, he did want to see his brother more often. So, he brainstormed ways to make Dick stay for longer on his visits.

But, that does not get him out of his current predicament.
See, because Jason is apparently an idiot, the family had placed a bet on this game of monopoly. The first to go bankrupt would have to do this stupid trend that Dick had seen online, where grown children go up to their parents randomly and climb into their laps to see how they react.
Sure, why the hell not! This will be so funny when anyone but him loses.
… and then Jason goes bankrupt first.
OR:
Jason loses a bet. But when Bruce finds out about the bet, he reacts in a way the family would never expect.

Damian didn’t know what to make of the canine when first introduced.
He wasn’t sure what Bruce’s intentions were when he had gifted the puppy to him. It seemed like a strange move to make, as if Bruce was testing him. Yes, that had to be it. Bruce wanted to see if Damian would be weakened by such a small creature. If Damian would be a liability when confronted with the pure innocence of an animal. If it would cause him to abandon his training and leave himself vulnerable to attack.
Damian would not be seen as weak.

Bruce Wayne became Batman because of a promise.
A promise he made to his parents, that no child would ever have to suffer the way he did. That no family would be broken up and torn apart by the cruelty of a criminal. That all criminals would face the justice they deserved.
That is what he fought day and night for. That is what drove him. Each night, when he doubted whether or not he was actually helping, he would remember that promise. Every time he felt like giving up, he would think of his parents, of how he sobbed over their corpses in the alley. Every time he saved people and stopped another family from suffering the same fate he had, he could feel his parents' eyes on him, supporting him and encouraging him to do what he thought was right.
But both Batman and Bruce Wayne were only human.
And humans are not unstoppable.

But Jason wasn’t perfect. No one was. He had moments where his fears and rage took over. Made him reckless, violent, dangerous. That supernatural green haze would swarm his vision, and he would lose control of himself. When he would come back to his body, he wouldn’t really remember what had happened during that time, but was often covered in blood and bruises.
He was getting better though. He would swear up and down. He just knew his family wouldn’t agree very much. He knew they wanted him to give up killing. But this was Jason’s choice. He wasn’t going to let anyone take that away from him. No one from the bat family would stop him.

What does it mean to ask someone for help?
There are different kinds of help you can ask for. Sometimes it might be the kind that is a one time thing. A quick favour. Asking someone to pick something up you just dropped, or to grab something off of a high shelf you can’t reach.
Then there’s the kind of help that is more long term. Asking someone to tutor you in a subject you’re struggling in. Getting a therapist. This kind usually involves some sort of contract, a ‘mutual exchange’ (or, at least, one would like to think).
And finally, there’s the situations that fall somewhere between the two. Asking someone to spend more time with you, could be one. Maybe asking someone to do a performance of some kind with you; you learn a routine together, you perform together, and then you go your separate ways.
The point being, is that all of these kinds of help come to an end eventually.
But what about when you need a kind of help that doesn’t have a clear timeline?
