Summary
“Come on, I can take it,” Lohen can’t help but lash out. The physical discomfort dissipates, leaving him feeling uncomfortable in far worse ways. Of everything his body has ever been made to endure, this is what makes him want to crawl out of his skin. And to feel like this around Illuga is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. “Just put it in already,” he demands, not wanting, but needing the comfort of searing, burning pain that was once so familiar to him.
“No.”
“No?” He sits up on his elbows, staring at Illuga in bewilderment. “Then what are –”
“No, I’m not going to hurt you like that. I refuse to treat you the way everyone else has.” Illuga has that look of fiery determination in his eyes again, and Lohen knows immediately this isn’t a battle he can win. “You can’t make me.”
