Summary
Born into the global powerhouse De Silva family, Jillian exists under a constant, crushing magnifying glass. Overlooked in favor of her older brother and her lifelong tormentor, Westin Rinaldi, Jillian often resorts to rebellion just to have a voice, only to be branded a disgrace. West, the arrogant, fiercely ambitious heir to the De Silvas' greatest ally, sees Jillian as a stain on their families' two-hundred-year legacy. Following the tragic death of his parents at 17, West moves into the De Silva estate to work alongside her father until he can take the helm of his own empire, making it his personal mission to push Jillian to stumble so she is hidden away for good.
Her life is irrevocably changed by a disastrous teenage mistake, further driving her parents to favor West over her at every turn. But when a routine flight goes awry, Jillian and West find themselves stranded on an uninhabited island in the middle of the Atlantic. Forced to rely on each other for survival, they must navigate their deep-seated resentment and a shifting dynamic where hatred and unwanted proximity collide. Stranded together in the wilderness, they are forced to confront the buried truths that have been piling up for 20 years.
