Work Text:
Buck was miserable; Tommy isn't being as loving as he was four months ago.
Tommy is more irritable than usual, and he started getting jealous every time Eddie would come around after Chris left with his grandparents for Texas, making snarky and downright mean comments when Eddie was out of earshot, but now that Eddie is in Texas becuase chris asked to come home.
And now Tommy has just stopped with the romance altogether.
Buck was feeling like shit because his boyfriend doesn’t seem to even like him anymore, and his best friend was 800 miles away from him, leaving a large hole in his heart, not to mention the hole he already had from Christopher leaving.
Sure, Buck and Eddie FaceTime sometimes, but it is not the same as having Eddie with him in person.
So when Buck and Tommy's 5-month anniversary came around, Buck went to Maddie for advice, hoping to find a way to get the romance back and maybe for Tommy to make him feel loved like he once did when they first started dating.
Maddie sat down with her cup of coffee, sliding over a cup of coffee for Buck to take, seeing his sleep-deprived state.
“I don't know how to word this, Mads, but how do I get Tommy to love me like he did when we first got together?”
Maddie raises her brows, confused.
“What do you mean, Buck?” She asks, leaning across the table.
Buck blushes. “We... uh... haven't had…”
“Nope, no, I don't want to know!” Maddie cuts him off.
“But Maddie, seriously, what do I do? I’m all pent up, and I am going insane!!”
Maddie makes a disgusted face before sighing into her coffee, hating that yet another one of Buck’s partners isn’t giving him what he deserves.
“I don’t know…maybe try and spice things up or something? Make a move?”
Buck thinks about that for a few seconds, and an idea comes to his mind with a smile. Then Buck opens his mouth, about to say something, when Maddie interjects, holding a hand up.
“Do not tell me anything about it. I do NOT need to know.”
Buck chuckles. “I wasn’t. I was just going to say thanks, Mads.”
She looks at him unamused. “Yeah, sure you were.”
“I was!” Buck defends, the two then breaking out into laughing fits before sipping their coffee and changing the conversation topic to something lighter until he goes home an hour later.

Later on that night, after Buck got back from his run, all sweaty and disgusting, he hopped into the shower as an idea popped into his head; he couldn't help the smirk that came across his face.
He dropped his towel and quickly grabbed his phone, smiling to himself evilly as he took a picture of his dick.
They didn't call him firehose for nothing; after all, he just hoped this would make Tommy want him again.
He sent the picture with a sexy caption, hoping to get Tommy going.
It wasn't until he dried off and got dressed that he finally realized who he actually sent that picture to.
“Oh shit,” he said out loud, staring at his cellphone screen in horror.

Eddie was getting ready for dinner with his son and Abuela when his phone chimed with a text message.
He smiled, seeing it was Buck; it was probably another video of Jee, but when he saw the text, he was confused because it read: “You like what you see, baby? 😜”
Eddie then quickly opened the text, nearly dropping his phone because Buck sent him a picture of him completely naked, his dick right there, out in the open.
Eddie’s first instinct is to type back: Yes, I do.
Wait….WHAT…. ..THE…FUCK???
Eddie just stares at his phone dumbly, and then text bubbles begin to pop up.
Fuck, it’s Buck texting him, seven messages in total.
Buck (work) ♥️: Oh shit, Eddie, that was meant for Tommy!!!
Fuck, I am so, so sorry, Eds!!!!
This is so embarrassing
But I hope your trip is going well!
But seriously, can you ignore that picture, please?
Please, Eddie!
Oh shit, am I spamming?? 😬
Eddie is quick to send Buck a text back because he can tell Buck is about to spiral.
Eds ❤️🔥: It’s okay, Buck. Mistakes happen, and the trip is going amazing. Chris is so ready to come home.
Abuela and Chris say hi.
Buck (work)♥️: You’re the best, Eds. Thank you.
And make sure to tell them hi back and that I miss them and love them so much!
And I’m SO GLAD Chris wants to come home!!!!
Eds ❤️🔥: Of course, Buck, and I’m glad too.
I’m heading out for dinner with them now, so I’ll talk to you later.
Buck (work) ♥️: Talk to you later!!! ♥️
Eddie then takes a deep breath, lets Abuela know that he’s on the way, and then heads out of the Airbnb that he’s staying in for the two weeks he’s staying in El Paso until he brings Christopher back home to Los Angeles for good.
That picture of Buck doesn’t leave his mind the whole drive to Abuela’s house.
He was fidgeting anxiously at the dinner table, his Abuela watching him intensely.
“Is something the matter, mijo?” Abuela asked, seeing how nervous her nieto was. (grandson)
“What? Oh, I’m fine, Abuela,” Eddie said, trying to sound reassuring but failing as his voice cracked.
Abuela raised her brow, giving him an “I don't believe you” look.
She reached across the dining table and placed her hand on his. “Mi niño, whatever it is that is the matter will not change our love for you.”
Eddie smiled at her appreciatively. “Gracias, Abuela.”
“Always, mi mijo.”
Right then and there, Eddie realizes that he doesn’t have to panic about this; it’s okay.
Nothing about loving Buck could ever be wrong, even if it doesn’t make him straight.
Eddie doesn’t give a fuck about that or what label he is—probably gay.
Eddie loves Buck so deeply, and truly, he wants to be with him for the rest of his life, continue to raise Christopher together, and have a few more kids along the way.
Chris then smiles at him across the dining table. “Yeah, Dad. We’ll always love you. Buck too.”
Eddie smiles at his son fondly. “Thanks, mijo, that means a lot.”
“You should tell Buck you love him, Dad,” the teen then says with a sparkle in his eyes.
Eddie’s jaw drops. “Uh…um…I…”
“Edmundo, it’s okay,” Abuela reassures.
Eddie nods. “I gotta go to Buck.”
The two then smile at him, and Eddie knows that he’s making the right choice, and then he books a flight for tomorrow to LAX.

Eddie is packing up his suitcase, giving Chris and Abuela a tight hug before heading into his Uber to get to the airport to get back home to Buck, when his phone vibrates in his pocket.
Eddie waits until he’s in the car before pulling it out of his pocket to see who it is.
It’s Buck, unsurprisingly.
Eddie grins, opening his and Buck’s text thread.
Buck (Love of my life) ♥️: How was dinner last night?
Eds ❤️🔥: Really good! Chris is ready to come home very soon!
Buck (Love of my life) ♥️: OMG that’s amazing! I’m so happy for you, Eds.
Eds ❤️🔥: Thanks, Buck. What did you and Tommy do for your anniversary last night? I know the five-month mark is coming up.
Buck (Love of my life) ♥️: Well, actually, he dumped me last night. Claiming that I don’t care about him as much as he does about me. Which is a lie!! Because he has done shit in the romance part, and I’ve been literally doing everything lately!
Eddie frowns, reading Buck’s message. He always hated Tommy; he never gave Buck the treatment he deserved.
Which, probably, should’ve kickstarted his sexuality crisis sooner…but whatever, he knows now and he’s going to do something about it.
Eds ❤️🔥: I’m so sorry, Buck. You didn’t and don’t deserve that. I can call you later, and we can talk about it if you want.
Buck (Love of my life) ♥️: That would be great, Eddie.
You’re the best best friend in the whole world.
Eddie couldn't help but cringe at the words "best friend” his thoughts definitely weren't friendly thoughts, more like “I want you naked in the backseat of my car” thoughts.
Eds ❤️🔥: Of course, Buck. I’ve got your back always. Anyway, I gotta go. Talk to you later.
Buck (Love of my life) ♥️: Talk to you later, Eds! ♥️

Buck was pacing back and forth anxiously, trying to calm down, when he suddenly heard a knock on his door.
“Did you forget something?” he said, thinking that it was Tommy, and opened the door, revealing Eddie instead.
“Yeah, I did, you,” Eddie said, kissing Buck roughly against the door, startling him slightly before kissing him just as passionately.
Then it kicks into Buck’s brain what is happening, and he quickly pulls away from the kiss, Eddie whining in protest.
“Wait... wait.. Eddie, you’re straight?” Buck asks, still out of breath.
Eddie laughs, making Buck confused.
“I just kissed, and you still think I'm straight?”
Buck just blushes brightly. “Wait... what?”
Eddie sighs, cupping Buck’s face in his hands, stroking Buck's face gently, making Buck lean into his touch.
“I stared at a picture of your dick for 10 minutes last night, and I panicked, but it made me realize how much I fucking love you, Evan.”
“Did you really?”
Eddie blushes. “Yeah, I did. You kinda sent me into a crisis”
Buck couldn't help but laugh, making Eddie chuckle.
“I am sorry, Eds, but I am so glad I did because I love you too…so much that Tommy dumped me because he knew that I would always love you more than anyone else in the world…besides Christopher, of course.”
Eddie grins, heart swelling with the love he has for this man, pulling Buck in by his shirt collar, connecting their lips again.
Then Eddie picks up Buck, never once breaking the kiss, carrying him down the hallway, carefully opening the bedroom door and throwing Buck onto the bed, hovering over him, slowly pulling Buck's pants down, staring at Buck with a devilish smirk.
“I want to see that firehose up close and in person, baby. So be a good boy for me and behave.”
Buck moans loudly and unashamedly. "Holy shit, Eds, that's so fucking hot.”
That whole night was a blur of nothing but love and lust, and for the first time in months, Buck knew what it felt like to truly be loved and cared for.
Buck accidentally sending that picture was the best thing that has ever happened to him.
