Chapter Text
12:35 PM.
Roblox HQ.
Floor 0, Main Electrical Room (MER)
Electracy huffed audibly with exhaustion and annoyance.
She was called in Roblox headquarters to fix a power problem, that caused some areas of the building to stop working entirely. But as she kept working on it, the problem only got more confusing.
'... No... Is that supposed to be there? I think that wire is slightly cut... Just a bit..."
Sighing, she plopped her toolbox that usually rests on her waist, on the ground, and took a few tools she suspected she'd need.
Just as she sat down and was about to start inspecting properly, she noticed an even bigger hazard.
" ...Wait... that busbar is dented..."
Immediately she stood up, and dashed to turn off the power supply.
Soon, she was plunged in darkness, before the hum of the backup generator in the room nearby announced the return light to her surroundings.
[ Busbar: a metallic strip or bar, typically housed inside switchgear, panel boards, and busway enclosures for local high current power distribution, transmission, or switching substations.]
"Right..."
She grabbed a flashlight and shined it on the broken busbar. Copper, with some patina, dented.
She took a voltage tester from the toolbox, and tested the bar before trying anything.
Waiting...
Safe.
Tracy unbolted the copper, and was just about to start checking how deep the dent was, but was interrupted by her phone ringing.
She wanted to ignore it before she realised the caller was Roblox itself, picking up the call with her elbow and keeping her eyes on the dented copper.
"Hello, Roblox?"
"INFECTED DOLLAR!"
It's voice boomed through the room, bouncing off the equipment and echoing into the electrician's ears.
Now Electracy had her full attention to the phone. No one's called her by her old name since she changed it. Whatever happened up there in the offices, Roblox was blaming it on Tracy.
