    Summary

Caitlyn Kiramman spent her life doing everything she was supposed to do. She was married, quiet, predictable, as she masked through every facet of her life. After a late-in-life autism diagnosis recontextualizes her past, and when her daughter Aveline makes a new friend at school, Caitlyn is thrust into Vi’s orbit in the midst of her own guardianship battle for Isha.

As Isha and Aveline form an unbreakable bond, Caitlyn and Vi develop one of their own. Between unlearning a lifetime of masking, a failing marriage, courtroom stress, IEP meetings, and late-bloomer realizations, Caitlyn is forced to confront the life she’s built and the liberating truth of who she is at her core.
