   Summary

Newly minted pediatrician Ryland Grace was hoping to leave his past behind when he took his fellowship in rural North Carolina. As the only doctor in a 50 mile radius, his massive workload is a welcome distraction from the rapidly decaying state of the outside world. But when a hurricane blows into town, it brings a mysterious stranger with it. Flooded into his clinic, with only his boss and his critically injured patient for company, Grace has to unravel the man's dark past, not to mention keep him alive, all while weathering the storm of the century.
