Chapter Text

The only thing Oscar wanted today was a peaceful first day in school. Just go in, survive, leave. But life wasn't going to give him that. He pushed the door open and walked in. The school was... big, to say the least. His first class was maths. He started looking around for some kind of schedule or anything that could help him find the correct classroom. He found nothing, so he decided to look around and find it himself. When he entered the sixth corridor, he heard the bell ring. He sped up his pace a bit. He didn't want to be late on the first day, just because he couldn't find the classroom.

After another five minutes of searching, he decided to ask someone. Asking random people wasn't really in his comfort zone, but it was either this or being late and making a fool out of himself. He passed some students, looking for someone he wouldn't be so nervous to talk to. When he thought that he wouldn't find anyone, he noticed two girls in the corner giggling and sometimes giving each other quick pecks on the lips. He smiled to himself, thinking it's adorable. Maybe a bit overly sweet, but still adorable. He took a deep breath and started walking over.

"Um, hey," he started and suddenly realized he's not quite sure what he's supposed to say. "So.. I'm new here and this school is, well, big..."

"Do you need help with finding the classroom?" One of them asked, raising an eyebrow. "We can help. What class do you have now?"

In his mind, he sighed with relief.

"Maths." After a second he also added: "I'm in Year 13"

The second girl got up and clapped her hands together.

"Us too! We'll show you."

She got up, grabbed his arm and, not waiting for any protests, started leading him down the hallway. After some time she stopped.

"Now you just have to walk some more and you're there. Third door on the left. I have to go back to Ocean. She didn't go, because she doesn't like the teacher. I have to literally force her to go." She chuckled and walked away, in the direction they came from. Oscar meanwhile started speed-walking towards the said door, not looking where he's going.

Suddenly, he bumped into someone. Well, bumped is not a good word. More like crashed into them. He looked up and saw a boy, probably around his age. Dark curls fell slightly over his forehead and Oscar somehow felt a big urge to brush them away. His gaze shifted to the second boy's hazel eyes. They were beautiful... and very, very annoyed.

"What the fuck?!" the boy exclaimed and pushed Oscar away. "Watch where you're going, you fuck! Who the fuck do you think you are to walk around, crashing into people, you piece of shit?!" His hand twitched and Oscar genuinely thought that the boy will hit him. But in the end, he just ran his hand through his hair, trying to calm down.

"Next time your face won't get out of this who le" he grumbled and walked into a classroom. THE classroom. Oscar's classroom.

Oh God, the Aussie taught and went to find a free desk.
