Summary
Milan Šum is a brilliant Czechoslovakian acoustician whose flight to America is cut short by a terrible plane crash. Instead of freedom, he awakens in an underground bunker in Corsia, an isolated socialist empire ruled by the harsh and cold Dictator Valentina. Faced with a choice between death and a compromise with his conscience, Milan decides to commit a piece of jewelry sabotage that will forever change the island's history. But he has no idea that his music has the power to melt the icy heart of the formidable ruler.
