"Fuck," he ducked his head, his visage taking on an almost painful look while a crease of discomfort formed between his naturally perfect brows. Rose envied him for them. She rubbed the back of his hands with two gentle thumbs. She wasn't going to force him to speak right away, knowing that he'd confess eventually. He just needed a bit of time to process certain things, and that was perfectly okay with her.
He took a deep breath, reluctantly kept his eyes closed, and whispered what she assumed to be quiet words of encouragement to himself. "I think…"
A barrage of possible options to how his revelation could possibly end flooded into Rose's mind as she continued to look ahead at him. Is he moving out? Was he fired? Is he coming out again? Is that a thing? To come out as gay… again? There wouldn't be a problem with that. I'd love him either way.
