I'll be your starry-eyed lover

Summary:

Legs and Lukey finally get a moment to themselves.

Work Text:

Legs and Lukey were back in Leg's void chest, because that seemed to be the only place they could be without someone deciding to come in unannounced.

Probably because the one with the habit of walking into random void chests was Lukey.

Legs' bed in the void chest was a lot smaller than both the one in Lukey's room and his own room, the two of them squeezed onto the mattress. Lukey's arms were looped around him, hands splayed across his back his head leaning against Legs' chest.

Legs hummed quietly, matching the subtle hum that came from the iron in the void chest. He doubted Lukey could hear it—there was barely enough for Legs to hear it.

But the humming kept his head calm. It gave him something to focus on.

Lukey tilted his head up slightly, pressing a kiss to Legs' chin. "I just had a thought."

"Hm?"

"One of us is gonna have to get really good with plants, to figure out all the stuff with the emberlilies."

Legs frowned, pulling away slightly to look at Lukey fully. "…What are you planning? Why do you need fire resistance potions?"

Lukey's eyes widened slightly "Shit- wait, that's not what I meant-" he groaned, covering his face with both of his hands "I meant I'm gonna need one because you're really hot, Legs."

He paused. "…Did you just try and use an alchemy-related pickup line on me?"

"…Yes?"

"Have I told you I love you?" The words left Legs' mouth faster than he could actually think them through.

"No- what?"

Oh shit.

Was it weird to say that already? He and Lukey hadn't been… together all that long.

Shit, it was weird, wasn't it.

Legs cleared his throat "I- uh- nnnothing."

Lukey blinked a few times. "Legs."

He winced slightly. "…Yeahh?"

He cupped Legs' face with both of his hands, his one of his thumbs brushing against his cheekbone. "I love you, too."

Oh.

…That was new.

Nobody had actually told Legs that before.

"…Oh."

Lukey bit back a smile, pressing a kiss to the bridge of his nose before continuing to pepper kisses around his face.

Legs laughed, ducking his face away from the sudden attack of affection, one of his arms tightening around Lukey. Everything felt warm and tingly, smiling enough to make his face hurt.

Lukey pressed another kiss to the side of his face, and Legs turned his head, their lips connecting softly. One of Lukey's hands tangled into his hair, nails lightly scratching against Legs' scalp.

Legs' hand slipped under Lukey's sweatshirt, pressing against the small of his back.

"Your hands are cold," Lukey murmured against his mouth.

"Yeah, and you're a living furnace, we've had this conversation." Legs leaned his forehead against his, their noses brushing.

Lukey grinned. "So you think I'm hot, then."

Legs pressed his lips together. "…I walked right into that one, didn't I?"

"Oh, absolutely."

He groaned, dropping his head down to bury his face into the crook of Lukey's neck. "I hate you."

"Aw, but I thought you loved me."

Legs paused. "…Two things can be true at once."

"Yeah, because you love me~" Lukey teased.

"I will bite you."

"Kinky."

"Do not."
