   Blade raised an eyebrow. “Yes, because I’m such a danger right now.”

   Dan Heng scoffs at the sarcasm, but Blade isn’t exactly wrong. Honestly, Dan Heng doesn’t know why he’s here, why he stays. He told himself originally that he HAD to accompany Blade while in Planarcadia. Blade was a danger to this place, and Dan Heng was one of the few people in the universe that could stop his destruction. But Blade has been fine the last few days. More than fine— Blade has been the most lucid and sane Dan Heng has ever seen him after the sedation. Dan Heng doesn’t need to be here, not at this exact moment, but something keeps him here all the same. He can’t walk away now. Or, maybe he could, but the ugly truth is; he doesn’t want to.

   Over the course of a week, Dan Heng gets to know Blade in a way he's never had the opportunity to do before. Being able to know more about each other, they struggle to define who they are to each other now.
