"Is this any way to act?" Choi hovered over him, his hot breath filling the supply closet as Saheon tried to remain calm.
Saheon huffed out through his nose in annoyance. He raised a brow at Choi's arrogant face, wanting nothing more than to smash the agent's jaw with the heel of his palm.
"This? What are you insinuating?" Saheon's tone was biting, disliking the way Choi's mind worked. "What? That I'd do this to myself?"
"Always." Choi's smile was sharp, his reply instantaneous.
Who the hell would willingly lock themselves inside a closet with someone from a rival company? An idiot or sleazebag?
Saheon scoffed, internally rolling his eyes. "You aren't worth the trouble of deceiving."
Choi didn't blink; he didn't believe what Saheon was saying. He smiled, and tilted his head to the side like he was watching a puppy play for the first time.
"Do you always lie so blandly?" he asked in an almost warm voice, like he was amused.
"Well if I did—" Saheon glanced up at Choi's face, trying to ignore the agent's pink lips that were practically begging for something to smack them, "—it'd be so we could match."
Choi's eyebrow twitched, and he stood straighter. "You don't think I'm a good liar?"
"You're worse than an elementary child trying to hide a secret."
"I take offense to that."
"You should." Saheon said it to be so.
Choi frowned, his lips turning down into a pout. Saheon found it hard to concentrate as those lips seemed to puff out. He leaned in further, knocking down a broom in the process, letting it rattle without a care as it fell against other useful tools.
Choi had to be pressing so close to him on purpose. Saheon needed to clear his mind and remind himself that he was a professional. He wouldn't make it out of this unless he got a hold of himself.
"I'm at least as good as a high school student," Choi argued with an uptick of his mouth, half a smile forming across his face.
Saheon shook his head as much as he could, which wasn't a lot, but enough to get his point across.
"Teenagers are better at it." Saheon didn't need to think hard about how he judged the infamous Agent Choi. "You lie without covering your tracks."
Saheon had lied and told himself he was going to escape the village and live in a big city with his sister. He believed that for years. What an excellent liar he was, huh? Teenagers had nothing on adults. They were hopeful and so easily misled.
Choi pursed his lips, then, and blew a raspberry. He was so hot-headed; Saheon was surprised he hadn't violently reacted yet. Choi was normally an 'attack first, ask questions later' type of guy.
"Do you have an argument?" Saheon asked, dipping his head down so he could look up from below, his voice lathered in condescending notes. "You don't, do you? You're already aware that—"
Choi leaned forward, raising a hand to cup Saheon's face.
Saheon saw it all in slow motion. The way that Choi's cheeks darkened, his mouth opened, and his hair brushed across his face. His thumb slid across Saheon's cheek fondly, and then his fingers wrapped around his head as if he was preparing for Saheon to move away.
Saheon saw it all but he didn't move. It was a conscious thing not to jerk away and tell Choi to stop.
Their lips crashed together. It was rough to start with, Choi pressing Saheon further against the inside of the closet. Saheon groaned from the unexpected pain of something hitting his lower back, but then the kiss grew softer, and Saheon just melted into the motions.
He got too comfortable. He moaned against Choi's lips and lifted his hands to grip the agent's shirt. He pulled Choi closer to him, which made the other man smile into the kiss, biting Saheon's lip a second later.
Saheon opened his eye, and he watched as Choi pulled away in a lethargic motion, as if he didn't want to go. Like he wanted this to last longer than it did.
Did Saheon want it to be longer, too? Was that what his racing heartbeat was indicating?
Saheon blinked, let go of the shirt his fingers were gripping, and then pushed Choi away as if he stung. He was a beat late to the program, but he looked away so he didn't have to see Choi's knowing face.
Fuck, he was a loser, huh? Who moaned from a simple kiss? Was Saheon pent up or something? He had to be if he was having such strange thoughts.
Saheon wiped his mouth hurriedly. He could feel heat rising to his cheeks, making it all that much harder to breathe in the enclosed space.
When he looked up, Choi was smiling in smugness. What a bastard. Why did Saheon have to find such a guy hot? If Choi didn't smile crookedly or give him those glances—
And then the closet popped open.
Choi made an 'oh' sound, and left with a faux salute. "Maybe it wasn't locked after all, ne?"
Saheon hoped he tripped on his way out.
Of course, Choi didn't. He was a dignified agent who didn't trip on air. Even his luck wasn't that bad. Saheon then hoped that Choi's coffee was cold, if only to bring some annoyance to that smug asshole.
Saheon waited a minute to calm his nerves. He placed the folds of his suit jacket back to the right places, and fixed his crooked tie. He then swept the hair covering his forehead away, letting out a sigh.
As he stepped out of the closet, he patted down his pockets. He checked for his phone, his wallet, his keys, and his—
"Ah, fuck." Saheon covered his face with a hand. His face was burning, and he couldn't do anything to fix it.
His badge was missing from his back pocket.
