You won't get rid of me.
Guy had become accustomed to the darkness. He doesn't remember what the sunset was like or his mother's smile. He doesn't remember before, and yet he never feared it. The void. The place where monsters emerged when he was a child, and which now accompanies him forever. He hated it, never feared it, until now. And he can't imagine being safe again.
Not when he feels it, in his own home, against him – stealing what little good remains to him.
The devil, taking over his body and mind, his very existence. As if Guy belongs to him.
