A little over a week ago, he wouldn't have been caught dead this dishevelled. Dark, dark circles hung under his eyes, almost the same shade as the inky view through the window pane. The breath-taking view of space; the curl of distant stars. It was already almost stale. Days of being reminded that he was a tiny speck of dust in the grand scheme of things. As if he didn't already know that. As if he didn't already feel small.
Shen Qingqiu is blasted into space by the tragic death of his disciple as he tried to send him to the Abyss. He was supposed to be escaping to a small, green planet to live out his days in exile from his very alive, very powerful disciple. But something went wrong with his system, and now everything this story was supposed to be and everything he was supposed to fix is gone.
And he's really, truly honestly being haunted by Binghe's ghost.
