Chapter Text
The first mistake the production team made was putting eight buzzers on the table.
The second was telling ATEEZ that there would be points.
The third - and, later, according to the exhausted editor, the most catastrophic - was promising the winning team a meat dinner.
Hongjoong stared at the cue card in his hands.
Then at the seven men already arguing around him.
Then directly into Camera Three.
“We haven’t even started.”
[THE CAPTAIN HAS SEEN THE FUTURE.]
[HE CANNOT STOP IT.]
“I’m just saying,” Mingi was explaining loudly, leaning halfway across the table, “if it’s about how well we know each other, Yunho and I should be separated.”
“Why?” Wooyoung demanded.
“Because it would be unfair.”
“To whom?”
“Everyone.”
Yunho, sitting beside him, nodded solemnly.
“That’s true.”
“You two couldn’t even agree which way the building entrance was this morning,” Jongho said.
There was a short silence.
Yunho looked at Mingi.
Mingi looked at Yunho.
“That was because we were talking,” Mingi said.
“And walking.”
“Exactly.”
Jongho nodded as though this proved his point.
[YUNGI: ONE SHARED BRAIN CELL. CURRENTLY OUT FOR MAINTENANCE.]
Across the table, Seonghwa had already organized the markers by color.
Nobody had asked him to.
Hongjoong watched him place the last one neatly beside the whiteboard.
“You know they’re going to destroy that in approximately three minutes.”
“I know.”
“Why are you doing it?”
Seonghwa looked genuinely confused.
“Because they were messy.”
Hongjoong closed his eyes.
[MATZ: TOGETHER SINCE DEBUT. STILL FIGHTING DIFFERENT WARS.]
[PARK SEONGHWA VS. ENTROPY: SEASON 9.]
At the opposite end of the table, San had both arms looped around Wooyoung from behind for no identifiable reason.
Wooyoung was allowing this while simultaneously trying to steal Yeosang’s marker.
Yeosang moved it out of reach without looking at him.
Wooyoung reached farther.
Yeosang moved it farther.
Wooyoung practically climbed across San.
Yeosang finally looked over.
“No.”
“I didn’t say anything.”
“You were about to.”
“What was I about to say?”
“Give me your marker.”
Wooyoung froze.
San immediately began laughing into his shoulder.
Yeosang turned back to the camera with the peaceful expression of a man who had already accepted that this would be his workplace for the next several hours.
“Eleven years,” he said quietly.
“What?”
“Nothing.”
Wooyoung narrowed his eyes.
San, still hanging off Wooyoung’s shoulders, leaned around him to look at Yeosang.
“See? This is why I’m Yeodoongie fan number one.”
Wooyoung twisted around.
“Why did that have anything to do with what just happened?”
“It doesn’t need to.”
“It absolutely does.”
San pointed at Yeosang as if presenting evidence in court.
“He’s cute.”
Yeosang’s expression did not change.
“You’re very easy to satisfy.”
San clutched his chest.
“See?”
The editor, with the instincts of a predator, zoomed in.
[SAN: SELF-PROCLAIMED YEODOONGIE FAN NO. 1.]
[NO ONE ASKED. HE WILL TELL YOU ANYWAY.]
[CHOI SAN HAS NEVER NEEDED CONTEXT.]
- - -
The production team explained the first game.
Charades.
One member would receive a phrase. No words, no mouthing, no writing in the air. Everyone else could guess. First correct answer earned a point.
Simple.
Extremely simple.
ATEEZ somehow required twelve minutes to understand it.
[RULE EXPLANATION: 2 MINUTES.]
[ATEEZ COMPREHENSION PROCESS: 12 MINUTES AND COUNTING.]
“So we can make sounds?” San asked.
“No sounds.”
“What about emotional sounds?”
“No.”
“What is an emotional sound?” Hongjoong asked.
San demonstrated.
It was somewhere between a dying seal and a man discovering betrayal.
Mingi immediately joined him.
[PRODUCTION NOTE: THIS WAS NOT REQUESTED.]
“No sounds,” the producer repeated.
“What about breathing?” Wooyoung asked.
“You may breathe.”
“Great,” Jongho said. “That should improve our chances of finishing filming alive.”
Yeosang’s shoulders shook.
Jongho saw it.
“You laughed.”
“I breathed incorrectly.”
[JONGHO: YOUNGEST MEMBER. OLDEST SOUL.]
ROUND ONE: HONGJOONG
Hongjoong opened his card.
He stared at it.
Then stared at the staff.
Then back at the card.
His expression became personally offended.
“What is it?” Wooyoung asked instantly.
Hongjoong pointed at him.
“You can’t ask.”
“You can’t talk!” Seonghwa shouted.
Everyone exploded.
“HYUNG!”
“YOU LOST!”
“ZERO POINTS!”
“HE SPOKE!”
Hongjoong slammed the card against his chest.
“I WAS EXPLAINING THE RULE - ”
“Disqualified,” Jongho said.
“We started four seconds ago!”
“Four seconds too many.”
[CAPTAIN DEMOTED 00:04 INTO HIS OWN TURN.]
The producer allowed Hongjoong to restart because otherwise they would never get usable footage.
His phrase was:
LEADER TRYING TO CONTROL SEVEN CHAOTIC MEMBERS
Hongjoong read it again.
Then he lowered the card.
And did absolutely nothing.
He simply stood there.
Silent.
Motionless.
Looking exhausted.
Seonghwa hit his buzzer.
“Hongjoong.”
The room went silent.
The producer blinked.
“That’s… not the answer.”
“No,” Seonghwa said. “That’s what he’s acting.”
Hongjoong folded in half laughing.
Wooyoung fell against San.
Mingi was hitting Yunho’s arm.
Jongho slowly put his head down on the table.
Even the cameraman shook.
[CHARADES FAILED SUCCESSFULLY.]
[PARK SEONGHWA: 8 YEARS OF FIELD RESEARCH.]
Eventually Hongjoong tried again.
He pointed at himself.
Made a captain-like gesture.
Then pointed at all seven members.
He tried to gather them together with both arms.
Immediately, as if driven by instinct, everyone moved in different directions.
San ducked under the table.
Wooyoung stole Yeosang’s marker.
Mingi stood behind Yunho.
Seonghwa began straightening the cue cards.
Jongho simply walked away.
Hongjoong stood in the middle of the studio staring at them.
[NO ACTING REQUIRED.]
The buzzer sounded.
Yeosang.
“Leader trying to control seven members.”
Hongjoong pointed at him violently.
“Yes!”
Yeosang nodded.
“I recognized the despair.”
Hongjoong laughed so hard he had to crouch down.
[KIM HONGJOONG: SEEN. UNDERSTOOD. DEVASTATED.]
ROUND TWO: MINGI
Mingi’s prompt was:
A GIRAFFE SINGING KARAOKE
He began by stretching himself as tall as possible.
“You’re already tall!” Wooyoung yelled.
“No commentary!”
Mingi glared.
Then craned his neck.
Yunho’s hand hovered over his buzzer.
Mingi grabbed an imaginary microphone.
Yunho hit it immediately.
“Giraffe singing karaoke.”
Everyone turned.
There was a beat of silence.
Mingi pointed at Yunho with both hands, triumphant.
“SEE?”
“How?” San cried.
“How did you get giraffe from that?”
Yunho shrugged.
“He did this.”
Yunho replicated one tiny movement Mingi had made with his shoulders.
Mingi nodded vigorously.
“Exactly.”
Nobody else understood.
“That means nothing,” Hongjoong said.
“It means giraffe.”
“To whom?”
“To me.”
Mingi leaned across the table and grabbed Yunho around the shoulders.
“My person!”
“My giraffe!”
“Don’t call me your giraffe.”
“You were literally a giraffe ten seconds ago.”
“That was professionally.”
The camera cut to Jongho.
His expression suggested that every life choice leading to this moment deserved reconsideration.
[YUNGI TELEPATHY: SCIENCE REFUSES TO COMMENT.]
[SONG MINGI: PROFESSIONALLY A GIRAFFE. PERSONALLY OFFENDED.]
[JEONG YUNHO: FLUENT IN MINGI.]
ROUND THREE: SAN
San looked at his card and immediately smiled.
That should have frightened them.
It did not.
It should have.
His prompt:
A CAT DEMANDING ATTENTION
San dropped to the floor.
Seonghwa whispered, “Oh no.”
San crawled directly toward Wooyoung.
Wooyoung screamed before San had done anything.
“CAT!”
San continued.
“CAT WHO WANTS ATTENTION!”
San climbed halfway onto him.
“CLINGY CAT!”
Correct-answer bell.
Wooyoung threw both hands into the air.
“I KNOW HIM!”
“You guessed because he attacked you,” Hongjoong said.
“That is knowing him.”
San was now comfortably draped over Wooyoung’s lap.
“Exactly.”
“You can get up,” Jongho said.
San did not.
Wooyoung looked down at him.
“You can actually get up.”
San tightened his grip.
“No.”
The production staff began laughing.
[CHARADES HAS ENDED. THIS IS JUST WOOSAN NOW.]
[STAFF HAVE TEMPORARILY LOST THE PROGRAM.]
Yeosang, beside them, calmly moved San’s abandoned chair farther away.
“More space for him.”
San pointed accusingly from Wooyoung’s lap.
“Why are you encouraging this?”
“I support workplace efficiency.”
San stared at him for a second.
Then his entire face lit up.
“He talked to me.”
Wooyoung looked down at him.
“He’s been talking all day.”
“No, but that one was for me.”
Yeosang blinked.
San pointed toward the camera.
“Yeodoongie fan number one. Remember that.”
Hongjoong groaned.
“We remember.”
“Everyone remembers.”
“Good.”
[CHOI SAN HAS RECEIVED DIRECT COMMUNICATION FROM HIS BIAS.]
[STATUS: THRIVING.]
ROUND FOUR: JONGHO
Jongho’s card said:
A MAN FIGHTING A MOSQUITO
Jongho stared at it with visible betrayal.
“No,” he said.
“You spoke!” seven voices shouted.
“I refuse.”
The producer laughed.
“Why?”
Jongho looked across the table.
Yeosang was already smiling.
That was suspicious.
“Because some people here know too much.”
Yeosang hit his buzzer.
“You fighting a bug.”
Jongho stared.
“You haven’t started.”
“You looked offended.”
“That could mean anything.”
“Not with insects.”
Wooyoung slapped the table.
“Wait, that’s true!”
Jongho pointed at Yeosang.
“You.”
Yeosang’s eyes widened innocently.
“Yes?”
“You told people this.”
“I answered a question.”
“Years ago.”
“I have a good memory.”
Jongho stared at him.
“You cannot say that with a straight face.”
Yeosang frowned slightly.
“Why?”
Wooyoung was already laughing.
“Because you don’t know when any of us were born.”
“I know approximately.”
“Approximately?”
“Yes.”
Jongho looked into the camera.
“He knows my fear of insects from years ago but not my birthday.”
Yeosang thought about it.
“October.”
Jongho waited.
Yeosang waited back.
“What day?”
“October.”
Everyone broke.
Jongho put his head down.
“The month is not the day.”
“It narrows it down considerably.”
[KANG YEOSANG'S MEMORY: SELECTIVE BY DESIGN.]
[IMPORTANT DATA RETAINED: BUG FEAR.]
[LESS IMPORTANT DATA: DATE OF BIRTH OF CLOSE FRIEND.]
Jongho sighed.
Then performed the charade anyway, swatting at an invisible mosquito with the intensity of a man protecting civilization.
Mingi started shouting guesses.
“FLY!”
“MOSQUITO!”
“BEE!”
“SMALL HELICOPTER!”
Everyone stopped.
Jongho lowered his hand.
Yunho slowly turned toward Mingi.
“What?”
Mingi looked defensive.
“It could be.”
Jongho stared into the camera.
“I want everyone to remember that he’s older than me.”
[CHOI JONGHO, BORN TOO LATE TO DESERVE THIS.]
ROUND FIVE: SEONGHWA
Seonghwa’s prompt:
CLEANING WHILE EVERYONE ELSE MAKES A MESS
He picked up one of the cloths from the prop table.
Hongjoong hit his buzzer.
“Seonghwa.”
The staff collectively broke.
Seonghwa pointed at him, deeply offended.
“That is not the answer!”
“That is absolutely the answer.”
“You didn’t even let me act!”
“You picked up a cleaning cloth.”
“Maybe I’m washing a car!”
“No.”
“Maybe I’m cleaning a window!”
“Exactly.”
“That’s still cleaning!”
Hongjoong was laughing now, the specific bright laugh that always seemed to appear when Seonghwa was being unintentionally funny.
Seonghwa tried to maintain dignity.
Then Wooyoung deliberately knocked three markers onto the floor.
Seonghwa looked down.
His eyes followed them.
His entire body visibly fought an instinct.
Wooyoung gasped.
“He wants to pick them up.”
“I do not.”
“You looked!”
“I saw them fall.”
“You want them.”
“I don’t.”
Wooyoung kicked one very slightly farther away.
Seonghwa made a strangled sound.
Hongjoong nearly fell out of his chair.
“Stop torturing him!”
“You’re laughing!”
“I can defend him and enjoy it at the same time!”
[KIM HONGJOONG: SUPPORTIVE PARTNER IN CRIME.]
[JUNG WOOYOUNG HAS DISCOVERED PARK SEONGHWA'S WEAKNESS.]
[IT IS LITTERING.]
Eventually Seonghwa picked up every marker.
The production team gave him the point out of sympathy.
[ORDER RESTORED. NATURE IS HEALING.]
ROUND SIX: WOOYOUNG
Wooyoung unfolded his card.
COOKING FOR SEVEN PEOPLE WHILE THEY STEAL THE FOOD
He smiled.
“This is easy.”
“You can’t talk,” Yeosang reminded him.
Wooyoung immediately began chopping imaginary vegetables.
Six buzzers went off.
The only person who did not press was Jongho.
The producer looked overwhelmed.
“Who was first?”
Everyone started yelling.
“ME!”
“I WAS FIRST!”
“I KNOW HIM BEST!”
“I SAW HIS HAND!”
“You hit it after me!”
San had somehow gotten to his feet and was now arguing with Yeosang over whose buzzer had sounded first.
Yeosang, who seemed considerably less invested, said, “You can have it.”
“No. Now I don’t want it.”
Wooyoung stared at San.
“What?”
“I wanted to win it.”
“You did.”
“But he gave it to me.”
Yeosang blinked.
“Should I take it back?”
“Yes.”
“Okay. Mine.”
“No!”
Wooyoung bent over laughing.
The producer finally asked them for answers.
“Wooyoung cooking,” Hongjoong said.
“Wooyoung feeding everyone,” Seonghwa said.
“Cooking while people steal from him,” Yunho added.
Correct.
Wooyoung bowed.
“I’m glad my suffering is memorable.”
“You like feeding us,” San said.
“I do.”
Mingi raised his hand.
“You also complain while feeding us.”
“That’s part of the love.”
Yeosang nodded thoughtfully.
“It adds seasoning.”
Wooyoung whipped around.
For one second his mouth simply hung open.
Then he laughed so loudly he disappeared sideways into San.
The editor froze Yeosang’s completely serious face.
[KANG YEOSANG: ASSASSINATION BY ONE SENTENCE.]
Wooyoung recovered.
Then he looked at Yeosang.
His eyes narrowed.
Yeosang immediately noticed.
“No.”
“I haven’t said anything.”
“You’re thinking about the chicken.”
The room changed.
Hongjoong began laughing before Wooyoung had even spoken.
Seonghwa covered his face.
Yunho slapped Mingi’s arm.
San gasped.
“The chicken legs.”
Jongho sighed.
“Here we go.”
Wooyoung pointed at Yeosang with the solemn rage of a man reopening a decades-old legal dispute.
“Do you know what he did?”
Yeosang looked at the camera.
“They know.”
“They need to hear it again.”
“They’ve heard it.”
“The audience may have changed.”
Hongjoong was already folding over.
Wooyoung turned toward the staff.
“I cooked dinner.”
Yeosang closed his eyes.
“I cooked for everyone. With love.”
“With complaints,” Mingi said.
“With love,” Wooyoung repeated firmly. “And this person - ”
He pointed at Yeosang again.
“ - ordered delivery.”
San was laughing so hard he was bouncing in his chair.
Yeosang opened his eyes.
“I wanted chicken legs.”
Wooyoung stared at him.
“You had food.”
“I wanted different food.”
“I COOKED.”
“And I ate later.”
“That’s not the point!”
“What is the point?”
“The betrayal.”
Yeosang nodded as if this were reasonable.
“It has been many years.”
Wooyoung put a hand over his heart.
“Some wounds don’t understand time.”
Jongho muttered, “Apparently.”
Seonghwa wiped tears from his eyes.
“You really are going to tell this story forever.”
“I am.”
“To your grandchildren?” Yunho asked.
Wooyoung straightened.
“Yes.”
The room exploded.
He pointed dramatically at an imaginary child in front of him.
“Your grandfather loved a man named Kang Yeosang.”
Yeosang’s head snapped toward him.
“And one evening - ”
“No.”
“ - I cooked him dinner - ”
“You cooked everyone dinner.”
“ - and he looked at my love - ”
“It was food.”
“ - and ordered chicken legs.”
Mingi had slid halfway under the table.
San was hitting the tabletop.
Hongjoong could barely breathe.
Yeosang sat there, expression perfectly blank.
“The chicken was good.”
Wooyoung screamed.
The editor froze the frame.
[THE CHICKEN LEGS INCIDENT.]
[YEAR: ANCIENT HISTORY.]
[WOOYOUNG'S EMOTIONAL RECOVERY: PENDING.]
[THIS STORY WILL BE PASSED DOWN ORALLY THROUGH THE JUNG FAMILY.]
[GRANDCHILDREN WHO DO NOT YET EXIST HAVE ALREADY HEARD IT 14 TIMES.]
ROUND SEVEN: YUNHO
Yunho received:
A PROFESSIONAL GAMER LOSING BECAUSE SOMEONE WON’T STOP TALKING
He looked at the card.
Then slowly looked at Mingi.
Mingi gasped.
“What did I do?”
Nothing had happened yet.
Yunho sat down and mimed playing a game.
Mingi hit his buzzer.
“Pro gamer.”
Yunho kept acting.
“Valorant.”
Yunho gestured angrily beside himself.
Mingi frowned.
Then his face changed.
“Me?”
The studio detonated.
Yunho collapsed against the table.
Mingi stood up.
“WHY AM I PART OF YOUR CHARADES?”
Yunho was laughing too hard to answer.
“You put me in yourself!”
“You were obvious!”
“I didn’t do anything!”
“You existed beside me!”
Mingi walked around the table as though preparing a court case.
“This is defamation.”
Jongho raised one hand.
“I think defamation requires the statement to be false.”
Yunho stopped laughing long enough to point at Jongho.
“Exactly.”
Mingi looked genuinely wounded.
“Jongho.”
“I love you, hyung.”
“That didn’t sound like love.”
“It’s honest love.”
[MINGI'S LAWYERS HAVE ADVISED HIM TO STOP TALKING.]
[MINGI HAS REJECTED LEGAL COUNSEL.]
Then came Yeosang.
And later, when clips from the episode were uploaded, this was the part that escaped containment entirely.
Nobody could quite explain why.
Perhaps because Yeosang usually approached these games with the expression of a man casually completing an administrative form.
Perhaps because he had already spent most of the shoot sitting quietly while chaos happened around him, dropping one sentence every seven minutes and somehow killing the entire room with it.
Perhaps because the production team had made a terrible choice.
His card read:
A PRINCE SAYING GOODBYE TO HIS BELOVED BEFORE GOING TO WAR
Yeosang read it.
His eyebrows lifted slightly.
He nodded once.
Then he handed the card back.
Wooyoung leaned toward San.
“This is going to be bad.”
“For him?”
“For us.”
Yeosang stepped into the open space.
He stood perfectly still.
Then something changed.
His shoulders lowered.
His expression softened.
His eyes fixed somewhere beyond the lights, suddenly distant and grave.
The room quieted.
Hongjoong’s smile faded into confusion.
“What is he - ”
Yeosang turned slowly.
He looked at Wooyoung.
Wooyoung stopped moving.
Yeosang extended one hand toward him.
Wooyoung looked around.
“Me?”
No answer.
Obviously.
It was charades.
But Yeosang kept his hand out.
Wooyoung, delighted by any situation in which Yeosang voluntarily requested physical contact, got up immediately.
San grabbed the back of his shirt.
“Why you?”
“I was chosen.”
“By whom?”
“Him!”
“I’m available!”
“Sit down!”
“I’m Yeodoongie fan number one!”
“That is not a casting qualification!”
“It should be!”
[SAN HAS FILED AN APPEAL WITH CASTING.]
Yeosang maintained character.
Wooyoung escaped San and approached.
Yeosang took both his hands.
The room erupted.
“OHHHHHHHH!”
“WHAT IS THIS?”
“IS THIS A DRAMA?”
“WHY IS WOOYOUNG IN IT?”
Wooyoung was already grinning.
Yeosang was not.
Yeosang looked into Wooyoung’s eyes with such tragic intensity that Wooyoung’s smile actually faltered.
Then Yeosang slowly lifted one of Wooyoung’s hands and pressed it against his own chest.
Wooyoung’s eyes widened.
San stood up.
“No.”
Everyone laughed.
San pointed.
“Absolutely not.”
“You don’t even know what they’re acting!”
“I know enough.”
“As Yeodoongie fan number one,” Mingi said solemnly, “San has lodged an official complaint.”
“I HAVE.”
“Sit down,” Hongjoong said.
[CAPTAIN CURRENTLY MANAGING A FANDOM DISPUTE IN REAL TIME.]
Yeosang turned his face away as though overcome with emotion.
He stepped backward.
Wooyoung followed instinctively.
Yeosang shook his head.
One tiny, devastating shake.
Do not follow me.
Wooyoung immediately committed.
“No!” he cried.
“NO WORDS!” Hongjoong shouted.
“I’m supporting him!”
“You’re ruining it!”
Yeosang put two fingers against Wooyoung’s lips.
The studio stopped.
Wooyoung stopped.
San’s jaw dropped.
Mingi slapped Yunho so hard Yunho folded.
Seonghwa simply covered his face.
Jongho looked directly at the main camera.
“We’ve lost control.”
[CHOI JONGHO: OFFICIAL SPOKESPERSON FOR THE PRODUCTION TEAM.]
Still completely serious, Yeosang released Wooyoung’s hand.
He walked three steps away.
Turned back.
Reached toward him.
Then, with absolutely no warning, clutched his own side as though he had been struck by an arrow.
Wooyoung screamed.
Not because he was guessing.
Just because he was emotionally invested now.
“YEOSANG!”
Yeosang staggered.
Dropped to one knee.
Looked up at Wooyoung with enormous wounded eyes.
Then collapsed dramatically into his arms.
For half a second there was silence.
And then ATEEZ ceased functioning.
Yunho fell physically out of his chair.
Mingi ran away from the table.
Hongjoong had both hands over his face.
Seonghwa was bent in half.
Jongho was laughing soundlessly.
San was on the floor kicking his feet.
Wooyoung was still holding Yeosang like the dead heroine of a historical drama.
[JEONG YUNHO HAS LEFT HIS SEAT WITHOUT CONSENTING TO DO SO.]
[SONG MINGI HAS LEFT THE PREMISES.]
[CHOI SAN IS EXPERIENCING THE FAN EXPERIENCE.]
“What is happening?” Hongjoong managed.
The timer continued ticking.
Nobody remembered the game.
Wooyoung stared down at Yeosang.
Yeosang’s eyes fluttered weakly open.
He lifted one trembling hand.
Touched Wooyoung’s cheek.
Wooyoung gasped.
San slapped the floor.
“STOP TOUCHING HIM AND GUESS!”
“HE’S DYING!”
“HE’S NOT REALLY DYING!”
“You don’t know that!”
“I’M HIS NUMBER ONE FAN, I WOULD KNOW!”
“You are currently five meters away!”
“That’s not the point!”
Yeosang let his hand fall dramatically.
Wooyoung looked devastated.
Then -
“WAIT!”
He slammed the buzzer from the floor.
“Lovers saying goodbye before war?”
A bell rang.
Correct.
Wooyoung screamed.
Yeosang instantly sat upright.
His face returned to normal.
“Correct.”
That made it worse.
Wooyoung stared at him.
“You - ”
Yeosang stood, brushed imaginary dust from his trousers, and returned to his chair.
As though he had not just delivered a forty-second performance worthy of an end-of-year acting award.
The others were still recovering.
San pointed at him.
“Where did that come from?”
Yeosang picked up his water.
“What?”
“That!”
“The acting?”
“Yes!”
“The card asked me to act.”
“But why did you act like your entire kingdom had fallen?”
Yeosang drank calmly.
“I respect the craft.”
Yunho fell over again.
[KANG YEOSANG, 25 SECONDS AGO: 1877–1904, BELOVED CROWN PRINCE, DIED IN THE GREAT WAR.]
[KANG YEOSANG NOW: 🙂]
[JEONG YUNHO: STILL ON THE FLOOR.]
Wooyoung returned to his chair.
He looked personally changed by the experience.
“You touched my face.”
Yeosang looked at him.
“I did.”
Wooyoung waited.
Yeosang waited back.
“And?”
“It was in the script.”
“There was no script!”
“There was in my heart.”
Hongjoong made a noise somewhere between a shriek and a laugh.
Wooyoung dropped his head onto the table.
San pointed indignantly.
“And I didn’t even get a role.”
Yeosang looked at him.
“You were the audience.”
San immediately brightened.
“The most important audience?”
“No.”
Everyone screamed.
[YEODOONGIE FAN NO. 1 HAS BEEN DEMOTED TO GENERAL ADMISSION.]
