Summary
They say Fire Lord Lu Ten is cursed: that his food festers and turns to poison in his mouth; that his sheets choke him in his sleep; that arrows loosed on the other side of the palace turn in mid-air to strike him.
They say he is a murderer; worse, they say he has killed his own family for ambition.
Avatar Aang thinks maybe he should check it out – curses usually involve ghosts and ghosts are kind of like spirits, after all. It helps that Sokka is heading up to the Fire Nation capital to seal his regrettably imminent betrothal with Princess Azula.
Meanwhile, Azula is determined to prove she’s much, much better than Zuzu. What better way to do that than by hunting down the mysterious assassins who seem set on overthrowing her cousin? And if it means she is too busy to see Ty Lee, who has become annoyingly distracting, that’s all the better.
