Serial Killer AU
Summer, early 1980’s. The entire city of Las Cruces is on edge. When a spree of murders are declared to be related, an incompetent police force is pushed to the brink to protect the citizens of New Mexico. Detective Wiley Coyote is an underachieving detective on the force with a high-stakes secret. He knows exactly who’s been on a killing spree, but he’s not quite ready to hand the case over to his day job. He wants to close this case for himself. The only problem is, not only is the killer the special agent sent by the FBI to close the case, it's Wiley too.
Special Agent B.B. Rhoades is a secret admirer of the Las Cruces Cannibal. Since the emergence of the serial killer, he has been on the case. He knows every detail of the file inside and out. He couldn’t be happier when he is assigned to the case and relocated to Las Cruces. If only he knew who the cannibal was. Rhoades attempts to reach out to the cannibal through a copycat murder spree falls flat, and he begins to grow desperate to reach the object of his affections.
