Work Text:

It had been a while, since Jaskier had learned, that Witchers could actually shift into the animal their school was based on, When Geralt had changed into a huge white wolf in front of him. He loved it so much, Geralt was soft and admittedly a very beautiful wolf. And he enjoyed belly rubs and ear scratches more than he wanted to admit. But his tail was a traitor and started wagging whenever Jaskier petted him. And Jaskier loved it. He also loved cuddling with Geralt in human form, of course he did, but cuddling an honest to god wolf was simply really exciting.

They were on their way to Kear Morhen and Jaskier was excited to meet the other wolves there. It would be the first time, Geralt took him with him to the keep. He had mentioned that sometimes Witchers from other schools were there as well. Coën, a griffin was there sometimes and lately Lambert had brought a cat to the keep. Vesemir wasn't happy about this, but he had allowed Aiden in as well. Aiden could turn into a panther, according to Geralt and Jaskier was excited to meet him.

The keep was cold, which was a bit annoying to Jaskier, so he hung out in the kitchen most of the time, because there was always a fire going. He had gotten on amazingly with Aiden from the very beginning, he could tell, that Lambert was a little annoyed about this. But he was just excited, about finding a new friend. It wasn't like he wanted to steal Lmbert's partner, he was very happy with Geralt.

They'd been in Kaer Morhen for a week when Jaskier returned from a walk around the courtyard into the common room and found a huge pile of fur on the ground. There was a white wolf, a black one, next to the fluffy black wolf was a smooth panther curled up, he also spotted gray fur and brown fur and he smiled. To the side, leaned against the gray wolf who most likely was Vesemir, lay a griffin. This looked very comfy. Geralt lifted his head and wagged his tail as he saw Jaskier. He made a movement with his head that probably meant to tell Jaskier to come closer so he did, sitting down next to Geralt and leaning against him. But Geralt just grabbed him and moved him on top of the fur pile. Jaskier felt like he was sinking into soft and warm fur. He felt movements underneath of him as the Witchers were breathing. He dug his hand into the brown fur underneath him and started to pet Eskel. He turned a little, looked at him and pushed his head against Jaskier and Jaskier started to scratch him behind the ears, the same way, Geralt liked it. Eskel seemed to like it as well because he pushed his head against Jaskier's hand.

And soon Jaskier was moving around, petting different wolves, a panther and a griffin, who all couldn't get enough. Until it got late and Jaskier started to feel tiered. He lied down on Geralt and Eskel and closed his eyes. He felt huge paws being put on him, as he fell asleep in the most comfortable place he had ever been in.
