Summary
A rustling came from the surrounding woods.
Sam hopped up, putting himself between Frodo and whatever hid in the forest. He grabbed the frying pan from the embers of their fire and brandished it, the remains of their dinner still crusted onto the bottom.
Frodo and Sam are ambushed by some old friends.
