   Summary

Allowing Cmdr. Kirk to join the away mission had been his first mistake.

“We’ve even got a weird, glowing mushroom to keep us company,” Jim called to Uhura, bending a little closer to examine the fungus.

“I advice not getting any closer before we know if it is dangerous,” Spock said, moving to stand beside the human.

Spock pulled out his tricorder, running it over the fungus.

This had been his second mistake.

   ___

While James Kirk is temporarily staying aboard the USS Enterprise, he and Spock get hit with sex pollen. The emotional fall out from the incident threatens to destroy the friendship they have built.
