Summary
Towering trees densely littered the snow. He kept a keen eye, as much as he could keep one, not to fall in a tree well of an evergreen or such. But, most of the foliage had been stripped from its home and was now deep under the stacked snow.
Ice formed on his eyelashes while his muscles contracted in an attempt to maintain homeostasis, futile at best. Grian’s so screwed. He’s so screwed.
He is so fucked.
Or: Grian, a locomotive engineer, is forced to operate his train through a snowstorm, but ice causes it to stall. He goes out into the snowy mountains in search of help, but begins to suffer from hypothermia. Grian is on the verge of unconsciousness when someone picks him up out of the woods. And, he wakes up in a mysterious town in a small valley between mountains.
