Chapter Text
For the most part, two years after he first developed them, Danny had little problem controlling his powers.
But right now? Well, he was one angry ghost. And that made it a little difficult.
Things had been going horribly for the past month.
First, after the changed timelines following the defeat of Dark Danny merged with Clockwork, Danny Phantom had been declared Amity Park’s public enemy no. 1.
Then, his parents walked in on him transforming. And promptly tried to capture him for experimentation purposes. Danny had just barely managed to escape them, and not without a few scratches.
And burns. And a few broken ribs.
And most recently, the GIW had completely taken over Amity Park after a call from the mayor, who wanted the town to be a completely ghost-free zone. Nobody was allowed in or out. And Phantom was not welcome. At all.
Since he was unable to go out around Amity, Danny decided to go up. All the way to space, to let off some steam.
After using his wail until he couldn’t, (Screaming was a great way to let out repressed emotions, Jazz had told him,) and blasting some space-junk to bits with his ecto, Danny decided to wander around a bit.
He floated throughout the galaxy, trying to figure out where to go from here.
Maybe he could live on the moon? But it was pretty far away. It would probably take days to get there. And the moon seemed like a pretty boring place to stay, anyway.
So he scrapped that idea.
He chose another direction, and drifted, losing himself in his thoughts, unaware that his invisibility and intangibility were acting up with his anger at the universe.
At least, he was until…
THUNK.
Danny was stopped by a solid object, which he should have floated right through. He could hear a crunch as his nose took the brunt of the impact, feeling ectoplasmic blood start dripping down his face.
“Owwwww,” Danny groaned, putting his hand to his face. “What the fuck? Who put walls in space?”
He looked up, to try and figure out what it was that he’d run into. It was a window, now smeared with his semi-radioactive green blood, and on the inside there was what looked like a… meeting room? And a couple faces were staring right at him, wearing various expressions of confusion, concern, and what looked like annoyance. He realized he recognized some of them.
Oh, shit, Danny thought.
He’d just slammed right into the Justice League Watchtower.
Not knowing what else to do, Danny turned intangible, and phased into the room, one hand still holding onto his nose.
He considered himself for a moment, then let his rings of transformation wash over him- these people were superheroes, after all, they’d probably just mistake him for a meta- and dropped the last few inches to the floor, wincing as he jostled his other injuries.
Blood, now fading into red, dripped through his fingers, creating green-and-red swirled droplets on the floor. Oops. He’d have to clean that up later.
“Do any of you have a paper towel?”
There was a pause of shocked silence.
“Actually, I might need a few. And a biohazard bag. The green stuff is a little radioactive and slightly corrosive. Sorry about that.”
“Excuse me?”
