Summary
The Justice League wanted to make alliances with planets close to Earth, deciding with the Green Lantern's authorization that members would take turns traveling in space alongside a Green Lantern to work on alien diplomacy.
Hal took it as an opportunity to handle some business on a nearby planet in his sector. It was a lovely place with a loving population... they were just really weird about love and stuff.
Of course, his teammates – probably well aware that he and Batman had been suspiciously avoiding each other – chose the brooding man to travel with him to a planet literally themed around love and relationships.
"So you two can maybe finally get along." is what Superman had said, which was hilarious. Because they’d tried getting along before, and it hadn't ended well. So why would it end well now?
(Or: Batman gets high on space-aphrodisiac, loses his legendary composure, and Hal's grand plan of keeping things casual goes up in intergalactic flames.)
