Chapter 1: You said you leave her out of this!

Chapter Text

Kessai Kiyoshi, Misaka Mikoto Best friend and roommate was walking to a room, she was worried, after she heard what had happened by some Tokiwadai students, that Misaka Mikoto has been arrested!

She has a feeling why this happened, and was walking to a room, where she normally went to have private talks with someone.

And when she opened the door, and closed it behind her, she saw….Sha.

The silence in the room grew heavier as Kiyoshi stared at her adopted sister.

Sha sat perfectly upright, looking every bit the fragile, elegant Infirmary Empress the rest of Tokiwadai Middle School adored. Her long black hair was pinned back neatly by her white lace headband, accented by the vivid red tree peony brooch that caught the dim light of the room. Through her rounded glasses the ones with that strange, stylized frame that always made her look like she was on the verge of tears she offered Kiyoshi a soft, gentle look. She was even clutching her signature stuffed panda doll tightly against her Tokiwadai uniform, looking too small and helpless for the gravity of the situation.

But Kiyoshi knew better. The fragile posture, the teary-eyed glasses, the innocent doll it was a flawless act.

“I did hear, Kiyoshi-chan,” Sha replied, her voice smooth, sweet, and entirely devoid of panic. “The girls in the dorms are quite frantic. A Level 5 Esper being taken into custody by Anti-Skill and a bias red head… ”

Kassai swallowed, as she spoke finally.

“You said you would leave her out of this, if she didn’t get in your way.” Says Kessai, Pointing out there deal they made. “If I got you items of hers!”

Sha still had her smile, Which sent shivers down Kassai spine, moreso when Sha gently chuckled.

“Don’t worry, She will be proven innocent very soon my dear friend.” Says Sha, which Kassai got confused by.

Seeing her confusing, Sha decided to elaborate and explain more to her.

“you see? I’m trying to actually get that other Level 5, the mental out arrested ….Or worse.” She admitted, as she took out something, that has a dangerous liquid in it.(1)

Kassai looks at it, with a confused look.

“What is that?” asked Kassai.

“if this is injected into some, They will die a agonizing death, Once it’s in them.” Sha smile got wider, and wider that it actually was starting to freak Kassai out. “I’m sure our little red headed friend will be in such a wild state of mind she won’t think clearly…..when she loses her partner and hears about her agonizing death, when I send someone…in a Tokiwadai outfit to kill that redhead pawn little friend and partner at the hospital.” She giggles more. “she be trying to solve this case, which would leave her poor little partner unguarded by her.”

Sha giggles at this, at this heinous action and plan, which Kassai felt sorta horrified by, but kept it in and to herself.

It made Kassai half to swallow a lump, but she had to ask.

“But….Won’t that just make people think that girls a friend or fan of Misaka-San or something and that will get Misaka-San in more trouble there while at Anti-skill HQ?” asked Kassai concern and worried at the same time. “if not have that redhead attack Misaka while she’s in depowered cuff’s?” Asked Kassai.

“Knowing Misakà Sampai, she probably would be there to make sure that Misaka-San is safe…after all? I did make sure that she would find out about those Tokiwadai girls would attack little Shriai partner.” Explained Sha crossing her arms.

Kassai thinks there, she does know Ruri-Sampai very well like Misakà, and how she’s sill a part of Judgment even after going to a new school…..and would protect Misaka-San from abuse from either Anti-skill or other Bias officer’s.

“So, Your Misaka-San will be safe, knowing how Shin’enkouji Rurikakesu, she probably die for those she cares about before letting something bad happen to them.” (2)

While that didn’t Make her feel emotionally better, it did make her feel relieved that Misaka will be safe….

“Once, little Shriai and Anti-skill find out that it was actually, seemingly Shokuhou Misaki? Little Shriai and a dagree Anti-skill will focus there attention on her, and arrest her while letting The Railgun off the hook quickly with the overwhelming proof.” Explained Sha, pointing out that fact. “And knowing Shokuhou Misaki? She's not going to resist arrest since it would indanger her clique, and knowing her? She will let herself be arrested willingly to protect the girls that work for her….How noble, and one of her weaknesses.” Points out Sha with a roll of her eyes.

The dim light of the room seemed to shrink, suffocating under the weight of Sha’s casual cruelty. She stroked the plush ears of her panda doll, her rounded glasses reflecting a sharp, clinical gleam that completely betrayed her fragile appearance.

Kessai watched her, a cold sweat breaking out across the back of her neck. Sha’s logic was terrifyingly sound. She was using Shirai Kuroko’s volatile emotions like a weapon, baiting her with the threat of her precious partner’s agonizing death, all while utilizing Ruri-senpai’s stubborn, self-sacrificing nobility as a human shield for Mikoto. It was a flawless web.

But one glaring question remained.

“And what happens after that?” Kessai asked, her voice trembling slightly as she tried to maintain her composure. “Shokuhou Misaki isn’t stupid. Neither is her clique. Eventually, the Mental Out will prove her innocence. Either she’ll find a way to clear her name herself, or the girls in her faction will dig up the truth. Anti-Skill will realize they were played. By then, Misaki will be free, and she’ll come looking for whoever framed her.”

Sha let out a soft, airy giggle, a sound so sweet it made Kessai’s stomach turn. She tilted her head, her lace headband shifting slightly as she looked at Kessai with mock pity.

“Oh, my dear, sweet Kiyoshi-chan,” Sha murmured, her smile stretching wider, hitting that uncanny, freakish peak that made her look less like the ‘Infirmary Empress’ and more like a monster wearing a schoolgirl’s skin. “Of course she will. I expect nothing less from a Level 5. Eventually, the Mental Out will prove her innocence. But by then? It will already be far, far too late.”

Sha set the panda doll down on her lap and picked up the heavy, ornate object resting beside the lethal vial. It was the legendary Majesty emblem.

“You see, this was never just about removing the Mental Out or isolating the Railgun,” Sha explained, her eyes widening with a manic, quiet fervor as she traced the emblem's intricate carvings. “This entire city looks at Tokiwadai Middle School as the pinnacle of elite society. They see our elegance, our status, our perfect Level 5s, and they harbor a deep, rotting resentment. The public, the underbelly of Academy City, the low-level espers who feel discarded... they hate us. And I am simply going to use this emblem to give that hatred a grand, catastrophic finale.”

Kessai’s breath hitched. “The Majesty emblem… it logs the profiles and powers of the past twelve Majesties.”

“Precisely,” Sha whispered, a chilling euphoria bleeding into her voice. “Using it will completely tear my own body apart, but I don’t care. I have formulated the ultimate, two-step esper combination to purge this city. A beautiful, grand curse.”

She held up the emblem, her face illuminated by its cold reflection.

“First comes Phase One: Aggression Reflection. I will channel the power stolen from the 3rd Majesty, Futami Renko. It acts as a scientific curse reflector. It detects any negative emotions directed at a chosen target and mirrors them back as severe psychological damage. By staging these horrific attacks and framing Tokiwadai, I am building a massive, towering wave of public hatred, anger, and ill-will toward our school. The very moment thousands of citizens across the city witness the news or think about their pure hatred for Tokiwadai, this power will snap back on them, instantly breaking their minds with immense mental trauma.”

Kessai gasped, stepping back until her spine hit the closed door. “You’re going to mentally break the entire city? Sha, that’s insane!”

“Oh, that is only the setup, Kiyoshi-chan,” Sha giggled, her voice dropping to a harsh, ecstatic whisper as she leaned forward. “Then, I trigger Phase Two: Double Edge. I will draw upon the lethal ability stolen from the unnamed 7th Majesty. This power takes existing psychological trauma and directly, violently converts it into physical damage.”

She gripped the emblem tightly, her knuckles turning white.

“The thousands of citizens who were just mentally shattered by their own hatred will instantly experience the conversion. Their bodies will react violently to their own broken minds. They will bleed out from their pores, or they will spontaneously burst into flames right where they stand! A mass slaughter, fueled entirely by their own bias and negative emotions toward Tokiwadai.”

Sha giggled again, leaning back into her perfectly upright, elegant posture, cradling her panda doll once more as if she hadn’t just laid out a blueprint for mass annihilation.

Sha looked at Kassai with a very kind, look, and smile, which scared her more.

“You, actually should be happy about this, after all? That redhead, anyone who has bias or a grudge against Misaka-San, the third level 5 Railgun…..Will be erased along with the rest…. Tonight…. Shriai served her purpose, and did so very well...i almost feel bad that she she will die with the rest, but it's a neccesery sacrifice” Says Sha, sweetly.

Kassai, eventually left the room, and her mind was a mess right now, at what she had just heard….Sha plan, Murder, framing….and ultimately Genocide….

Misaka-San would be safe, But….Kassai couldn’t help but think on all of this right now as she walked down the halls....
