Summary
Jeongyo thought disappearing would set Pio free. Pio thought that was the stupidest thing he had ever heard.Three years after Jeongyo disappears, Pio finds him in rural Czechia and decides he lives there now. Jeongyo disagrees. So do the Czech immigration authorities. Between monastery dinners, piano lessons, ninety-day limits and twelve years of unresolved emotional nonsense, Pio and Jeongyo are forced to confront the deeply inconvenient possibility that the easiest way to solve their visa problem may also be the most deranged way to avoid defining their relationship.
Or the one where Pio refuses to leave, Jeongyo refuses to call it love, and the Czech government accidentally becomes their relationship counselor...the sensible next step is apparently matrimony.
