Summary
Deadly omegas are rare now. Packs keep them secluded and mated to temper their wild aggression and placate their instincts. But mate-less omegas? They're still dangerous.
Omega Shane Hollander is a veteran in the Ice Hockey scene, practically the face of the organization, and he's been doing it all without revealing what he is. He's got no mate, only the soothing scents of his pack: his alpha mother and beta father. He's barely resisting his instincts but he's in control. Most of the time.
When he's cornered after a game and four of his teammates try to get him to submit, it's a visceral thrashing and Shane nearly kills them. Now he's the only thing the NHL and the whole world wants to talk about and he is getting traded to Boston, the only team that wants him.
Ilya Rozanov takes one look at the headlines, the footage of the attack, and those dark eyes and freckles and allows himself to admit the quiet truth he'd been harboring for almost a decade: he might actually want Shane Hollander. Now he's ready to show Shane just how much he wants him and he's eagerly barring his neck for Shane's sharp fangs. All the alphas on the Boston team are, actually. Shane feels good, feels right, when he takes a bite.
