"My boyfriend is real Astrid," Hiccup sighed, rubbing his hands through his hair.
"Are we one this again, listen Hiccup, there's no shame in being single. But give up the boyfriend act come on, if he was real then why be so secretive," Snotlout said, walking through the door.
"I told you he-"
"Doesn't want people to know," Astrid interupted," We've heard it before, but even your best friends! Come on, this can not be that serious."
Hiccup sighed, knowing he really couldn't convince them. The trust was that his boyfriend was Jackson Overland, or better known as, Jack Frost. Jack was a famous figure skater who seemingly appeared out of nowhere, a couple years ago.
A tiktok was posted of Jack figure skating at a local ice rink went viral. Soon, world famous ice skating company, The Guardians. The elusive agent, The Man on the Moon, or Manny as Jack refers to him, personally tracked down Jack to join the team. The rest was history and soon Jack Frost was a name heard all over the world for his ice skating.
This year Jack was invited to compete in the US men's ice skating team, and Jack accepted with North, one of the most famous men's figure skaters, coaching him. Jack, and the rest of the Guardians were competing. While this was all happening, there has been an investagation going on with, Sandman, or Sandy, The Guardians famous nonbianary ice skater has mysteriously gone missing and in his place, Pitch Black, or his stage name, the Boogieman, has joined.
Pitch Black, was a ruthless figure skater, and also a criminal amoungst other things. It was found that Pitch stole Sandy in order to take his place in the competitions and now was on the run. That is why Jack doesn't want anyone to know about Hiccup.
Hiccup met Jack due to Jack's younger sister, Emily. Hiccup on weekends often volunteered at the local animal shelter, Emily, who was around 13, also would volunteered. Jack would come and pick Emily up, while Hiccup walked home. Jack wouldn't have this and forced Hiccup to let him drop him off.
All of this was around when Jack started to get famous, however Hiccup didn't really go on social media. He watched Youtube theories and sometimes would post on his instagram that the twins said he needed. Other than that he mainly focused on his school and his pet cat, Toothless.
And after awhile, Emily asked Hiccup on a date for Jack because, in her words,"Hiccup will you go out on a date with my brother, this romantic tension is litterally so thick, I would need a sword to cut through it."
Hiccup laughed thinking about it. And now he had a boyfriend, who not only could possibly be kidnapped at any minute now, his friends all believed he made him up to cope with his lonliness. And on top of all of that, actually that was pretty much it, but still!
"I sure love my life right now," Hiccup thought to himself, while he listened to his friends go on about his love life.
"Hiccup! You got mail," Fishlegs said, walking in holding some mail.
"Oooh is it his boyfriend," Tuffnut sang, grabbing the letter from Fishlegs.
"Hey! Give that to me!" Hiccup said, reaching for the letter. Ruffnut stole the letter from Tuffnut and ran away.
"It's from some person, J. Overland?" Ruffnut annouced.
"Manny," Hiccup thought,"Oh no." Dread filled his brain and he snatched the letter from Ruffnut. Hiccup opened it to reveal a letter and six tickets. Astrid took one of the tickets and gasped.
"Hiccup! This is for the whole of The National Championships for Figure Skating that is in a week. How did you get these, I thought they sold out months ago," Astrid asked. Hiccup didn't answer as he quickly read the letter.
"I got you and your friends tickets for the events. I don't know your phone number and my phone actually got stolen and i havent gotten everyones numbers back. And i'm too busy (or lazy) rn to get a new one. sorry. Besides letter are like super fun cus i get to send stickers. plus for some reason North is crazy good at igureing out where people live based on their socials. its scary. ily, jack"
Hiccup laughed. Of course Jack had time for a letter but not a new phone, or to even dm him on instagram. Then again Hiccup doesn't check his instagram either.
"Who's it from?" Snotlout asked.
"Uh, my boyfriend," Hiccup replied.
"Seriously, Hiccup this has gone on too far, i'm worried about you," Astrid admitted. Hiccup just sighed, it wasn't worth the fight. They'd find out soon enough.
Hiccup and his friends were sitting down ready for Men's singles. Hiccup had briefly seen his boyfriend before he competed, but today Hiccup was going to see him compete and also convince his friends that Jack is very much real and not a figment of his imagination.
After hour and a half, Jack skated onto the ice, the crowd cheered. He was wearing a blue, slightly sheer blouse type shirt and black pants with sliver norse-like designs. Jack skated to the middle and posed.
"He's even hotter in person," Ruffnut admited to Astrid and Fishlegs. Fishlegs hummed in agreement, and, to Hiccup's suprise, Astrid nodded. Hiccup knew that his boyfriend was famous, he did not know that his friends thought he was hot. I mean he was, but that's not the point right now.
Hiccup, despite knowning Jack for almost a year now, still knew very little about the art of figure skating. Soon the music started and Hiccup watched Jack with awe as he glided across the ice and did spins and jumps effortlessly. Jack smiled wide, as he skated, it was like the ice was his playground.
The song Jack chose was very fun and honestly fit Jack's personality perfectly. Voulez Vous filled the air full of fun, and was a stark constrast from the other competetors songs. As the song faded, Jack posed and smiled. People clapped as he exited the stage, as he was leaving he blew a kiss in the direction of Hiccup. The girls, and some of the guys, started squealing.
After a few more programs, there a was a break before the free skate program started. The group went out of the stadium and grabbed lunch at one of the food trucks.
"Did you see that! The Jack Frost, blew a kiss to our section," Tuffnut squealed. Snotlout rolled his eyes.
"Girls," He complained," Am I right?" Astrid was about to do something (probably punt him to the moon), when someone interupted.
"I don't know, that Jack Frost guy is kinda cute," A familar voice said. The group turned to see none other than Jack Frost himself. Jack had an over sized hoodie on and was wearing a wig with brown hair. Hiccup smiled and Jack kissed him the cheek.
"Hiccup, my sweet lovely boyfriend, my eyes hurt, hold me," Jack complained, dramatically collasping into Hiccup's arms. Hiccup rolled his eyes at his boyfriend's antics.
"Wait- your boyfriend -" Hiccup quickly put his hand over Astrid's mouth before she could announce it.
"Yeah, but like I'm not supposed to be hear so you should keep it down," Jack replied, moving so his head was on Hiccup's shoulder.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Snotlout exclaimed.
"Uhhh, I tried. I wasn't allowed to," Hiccup replied flatly.
"It's my fault, don't worry Hiccup I will make it up to you, but right now I have to go before Phil finds me, bye!" Jack said, kissing Hiccup and then running away. Hiccup groaned, he had no idea what Jack's idea of making it up to him meant, but it was probably as chaotic as he was.
After they finished, Hiccup and his friends went back to their seats as the Men's freestyle was starting. Fishlegs was whispering something about how it's scored but honestly Hiccup wasn't listening. Hiccup would love to say he understood more about ice skating but really just learned that wow, these people were way more athletic than he would ever be. That wasn't say he didn't enjoy it, in fact, he loved it. He just went off of vibes and that lots spinning good, falling bad.
Finally after, 3 hours, and three buckets of popcorn, it was Jack's turn. Blue shirt that had a low v-neck, with silver trim that made it look like his clothes have frost. He had black gloves and pants, and was wearing a black necklace with a blue crystle in the shape of a heart.
Jack took his postition as a song started. Hiccup gasped as he realised what song it was. The music filled his ears.
"I look exhausted, all stiff and awkward on the outside of the moment," The song went. That was their song, Jack had said. Jack swore that the song writer wrote it for them, it was written in the stars. No one would ever guess this, but Jack actaully was very romantic and sappy.
As the song was nearing to end, Jack did a jumping spin (listen Hiccup wasn't a ice skater). The audience clapped as the song ended. Jack skated around the ice, waving and catching flowers people throw at him. At one point Jack motioned for Hiccup to come down and he found two people in securty waiting for them.
As Jack left the ice, Hiccup was almost to the boarders rinks. He was talking to some of the camera, until he spotted Hiccup and ran over to him. Which Hiccup found impressive considering he was still in his skates. Jack pratically tackled Hiccup in a hug and then kissed him, on national tv.
"Jack, what the-" Hiccup exclaimed, before Jack put his hand over his mouth.
"Shhhh," Jack replied,"This isn't talking time, this is party time!" Jack pulled Hiccup over to the camera and shouted,"This is my boyfriend! You bitches!" Hiccup blushed at his boyfriend and hid his face in his hand.
Jack and Hiccup went to go sit down, away from the crowds.
"Did you have to do that," Hiccup groaned.
"Yep, now the world know your mine and I'm yours and that we are super cute together," Jack proclaimed, giving Hiccup a peck on his cheek.
"You know in skates, you're almost as tall as me," Hiccup teased, looking down at his boyfriend.
"Shut up, besides, you love how I'm fun sized," Jack smiled, as took off his boots on a bench.
Hiccup smiled, he really does.
