This is the longest thing I've written so far on ao3, and honestly, that's concerning.

There is a difference between real love and obsession, and Hiccup has learned this many times over. Additionally, Hiccup has a lot of experience taking pain quietly. When the riders see some aftermath of a particularly brutal capture, they are understandably concerned. For Hiccup? IT didn't matter. He'd do anything for them. Astrid, however, is not willing to take any of it.

Summary
The Jormung Tribe was more than a people - they were legend. Dragon-blooded warriors who shared kinship with the beasts in ways that no other being, Viking or otherwise, dared to dream. Their strength and bonds feared across the lands. But fear breeds hatred. Hatred demands blood. Branded as abominations to Viking-kind, the Jormung were hunted to the brink of extinction, their name struck from memory, their halls reduced to ash.

[COMPLETED][REWRITTEN] Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third as the name clearly states was a hiccup and a runt. He used to make crazy inventions to kill dragons as he couldn't lift a sword to do the task himself, but unfortunately, that did more damage than good. Thus, being a fishbone was enough of an excuse for every Viking on the island to bully, hurt, mistreat, and insult him. Astrid Hofferson the strongest Viking their age falls in love with him as they both run away to start a new life of peace, until the past catches up with them...
