Summary
Cut off from Earth, the people of the Extrasolar Territories have survived upon a series of alien worlds by scavenging what little they can from the husk of a dead civilization, even as the automated systems of that civilization wage an unending war against each other.
Amidst this chaos, pieces begin to move behind the scenes, seeking to upset this fragile existence to serve their own ends. Several young Mech pilots are drawn into the strife, and struggle to build solidarity with one another even as their homes are torn apart.
