Chapter Text
Groggily eyelids open up, this time, to the real world. He’s greeted by his Mind turtle, safely waving from his cloud.
“What a dream that was, huh?” Little Raph chuckles.
“Yeah, no kiddin’.” Heaving himself upright, he sits on the rim of the bed. The whole experience felt too much for his brain to process.
“And? Are ya glad you met them after all?” Mind Raph drifts near Raphael’s shoulder.
“I-“ Raph hears a knock on the stone wall next to the curtain of his room. Mind Raph sees that as his cue to fade back into the big guy’s head.
“Raph?” A familiar blue turtle speaks up. “Can we talk?”
“Of course, Leo! Come in.”
Leo pulls the curtains to the side and enters, his steps small and hesitant.
“Sooo, I had this dream..”
As Leo retells bits and pieces of his dream, which Raph vividly remembers, he thinks to himself.
“Hey, Mind me? Gotta say yes to that. If I didn’t meet ‘em, I wouldn’t be talking to Leo right now. So, yeah, I’m glad I did.”
“Heh, I knew you would say that.” Mind Raph echoes back.
“And.. And then the mask.. it uh, sorta crumbled? Like, we both did and it uh..” Leo has trouble keeping the tears at bay. “And then you said-“
“Together we can fix anything,” Raph mutters gently before wrapping his brother in a hug.
“You.. how did you-?” The slider’s voice cracks.
“Know? Well, that’s kinda a long story. It includes me beating Donnie in rapping, so that’s something.”
“No way! Tell me all the details! Especially his face!”
The snapping turtle chuckles at Leo’s sparkling pupils as he does as requested.
Though, not far away, a certain purple turtle was wallowing in defeat.
“And I still didn’t get my montage.” Curling up into a little bed burrito, Donnie mumbles his rap songs to cheer himself back up.
And, Michael on the other hand.
“Perfect.”
He sits on the roof of a nearby building, taking in the fresh air and singing birds. Holding his canvas and brush to paint the sun coming up.
“Things are looking bright!” He chirps with a genuine smile from ear to ear.
~The end!~
