Inside the Opera Epiclise, there was an important trial taking place, and it has just ended, this is the trial where the people of Fontaine tested their archon, a trial that would finally reveal to them, that the one person they once thought was their archon, was just a normal ‘human’ being putting up a facade, but this didn’t make sense, she was alive for hundreds of years. How could she possibly still be alive after so long? This question caused more chaos, making people start making all kinds of theories about Furina.
A lot of chaos was happening, but Furina just sat through all of it, with tears in her eyes, as she processed what had just happened. She couldn’t believe it; all her hard work was for nothing. 500 years of suffering has just gone down the drain, so fast and unexpectedly. She was so disappointed in herself. “If only I had been more careful, I wouldn’t be in this mess in the first place; this is all my fault.” This thought flooded Furina’s mind.
Suddenly, a loud thud echoed through the entire room, overcoming all the whispering of the people. Everyone laid all their eyes on Neuvillette, the one who originated the sound that they just heard.
“Silence.” He said with a serious tone.
After he said that, everybody went quiet.
Neuvillette waited for complete silence before saying, “The death sentence will now be carried out.” His voice had a hint of sadness in it as the skies outside started to rumble, and then finally it rained.
Neuvillette looked at Furina with sadness in his eyes, when he saw how Furina had tears running down her face, he couldn’t help but feel sad. Even if he knew that her actions were wrong, his heart still ached for some reason.
The machine started to glow a bright blue color, so bright that it could even make people blind temporarily. Some seconds later it completely stopped, and the people became very confused.
“Everyone please calm down, we will be checking the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale for any issues.” Neuvillette was also confused and didn’t understand how the machine just stopped working like that. He called the guards to check the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale but there seemed to be no issues.
“My sincerest apologies for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, it seems like the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale isn’t currently working, requiring us to end this trial right now. Thank you for your understanding.” When Neuvillette said that, the people of Fontaine became annoyed and started leaving.

Everybody already left the Opera Epiclise hours ago, and Furina was the only one left inside. She was crying for hours until there were no tears left to shed. She sighed before getting up and deciding to leave the Opera Epiclise. While she was leaving, she started to think about what had happened earlier, but thinking about this just made her feel extremely sad as she felt a lump in her throat. She was snapped out of her thoughts when she finally reached the door. She contemplated a bit before opening it.
“LOOK IS THE FAKE ARCHON!” A voice shouted while laughing mockingly.
All the people's gazes suddenly fell on her. She felt nervous before finally deciding to walk through the crowd of people while looking down, trying to avoid making any eye contact with anyone. It was hard to see where she was going, especially when it was raining so much. Suddenly, someone grabbed her hand and pulled her into a secluded alleyway.
The person who dragged her slammed her into the wall with a surprising amount of force, before pinning her down and putting up a knife close to her neck.
Furina didn’t seem to notice it. She felt really dizzy after the person slammed her into the wall. It felt really painful.
“Pfft… What a joke you are. I think it is time to finally learn your place you B*TCH” He said aggressively before using the knife to make a deep cut in Furina’s thighs, forcing tears and screams out of her, but the man covered her mouth before she could scream.
“NOBODY IS COMING TO SAVE YOU, SO SHUT UP” The man became even more furious, causing him to start beating up Furina with his bare hands, and kicking her. This action gave him pleasure. Seeing how the so-called ‘Hydro Archon’ was now getting beaten up, satisfied him.
The beating stopped after 2 minutes, but it felt like an eternity for Furina. She was covered in bruises, and her entire body hurts. She hoped that this would be the end of the torture, but she was wrong. There was so much more coming, and this was only the start.
Suddenly, Furina started coughing up blood, which caused an unbearable burning sensation in her throat. She wanted to stop her coughing, but it just kept going.
The man chuckled at the sight. “Oh, sorry, did I hit you too hard?” He said mockingly, feeling no remorse at all.
The man grabbed the knife from earlier that was on the ground, and started making cuts all around her body, making sure that they were as deep as possible, causing more blood to come out of her. Her blood was spilling everywhere. He started laughing when he saw the pained expression that Furina had when he started making cuts. It was clear that he was mocking her.
Her own blood was starting to surround her, creating a small puddle of blood around her. This scene was extremely gory—a truly sickening sight. Anyone who lays eyes on this sight would immediately feel sick in the stomach. Nobody would’ve thought that a ‘human’ being would even dare to do this.

The man finally stopped the torture when he felt satisfied enough. He made a final cut before taking out a napkin and cleaning off the blood on his knife. When he finished, he put the knife back in his pocket and stood up, getting ready to leave, planning to leave Furina in the secluded alleyway to bleed out.
Furina watched the man start to leave; she was glad that the torture had finally ended. Her vision suddenly started getting blurry, and she felt lightheaded. Her heart began to beat faster, and she also felt fatigued. Anyone could see how bad her current state was just by looking at how pale she was.
Her eyelids became heavy as she closed her eyes, feeling her tiredness kick in. She tried her best to stay awake, but it felt impossible to do so. She felt herself starting to give in to the tiredness and finally getting the rest she needed and yearned for. In the last seconds, she heard a familiar voice calling out for her before finally falling unconscious.
